This is about games that WERE released, but the country you reside in didn't get a port. DID YA KNOW THAT- (Mared by Bauls.)

I'll start us off with a little spark:

YOU GOT IT WRONG.

Earthbound came overseas to the United States, but was never able to go onto the Virtual Console on the Wii.

However, Mother 1 (Earthbound Zero) and Mother 3 (Earthbound 2) have NEVER made it to the United States without a fan translation.

There are also some other games out there that I wish have made it to the United States, but these games are the ones that come straight off the top of my head.

What happened with Earthbound is that it got a super coverup, in which everything was toned down to be more of an E for Everyone game.

In Japan, the game was actually rated M for Mature, I believe.

The game didn't go onto the Virtual Console because Nintendo in Japan did not want to translate the whole thing again, for Itoi's sake.

Being a major Megaman fan, there's one game I must bring up:
Super Adventure Rockman for the PSX
Never got released outside of Japan. D:
Which is unfortunate, because it looked pretty good.

First version was released, but the NPC version was released everywhere BUT America.

I honestly only knew about Metroid Prime: New Play Control. Didn't know one existed for Pikmin.
But, yeah. I'd say it counts.

The original.

I believe it wasn't released to the United States because Nintendo thought it was too hard for the United States.

It got renamed and set as The Lost Levels, but that's not the same.

...Pokemon Blue did get a US release. You might be thinking of Pokemon Green.

If what I read is correct, all japanese blue is is just Pokemon Green: now with color.
Might be wrong, though. Haven't looked up pokemon stuff in a long time.

I hate japanese re-releases like KH2: Final Mix... Because its a hell lot better than the NA version. That and some Monster Hunter games...

I question why the different dev teams never made US ports of the different releases. (Not counting Re:Coded or Re: Chain of Memories.)
