I thought of this when reading this thread.

How about a subforum for jokes, memes, fun facts, etc. in which posts don't contribute to the post count? :D

I'd actually LOVE something like that, and would definitely post in it. People could share funny stuff in it, "TIL" things, awesome things etc.

Basically, that. It could be some kind of "spam"forum. A lot of forums have this, actually, (sometimes called the Spam corner or Chatting room or whatever) although most minecraft forums don't seem to have this. I was just wondering... why not? As long as the posts wouldn't contribute to the post count, this would be fine, right? And this way other forums wouldn't get spammed either.

I love this idea to be honest.
Although I do think spamming shouldnt be allowed in the section as I mean seeing just a bunch of posts with "DUHSNO" "uifoea" etc one after the other ruins the fun to a certain extent.
So I think the double posting rule should still apply but would love to see this implimented.

Honestly, I don't see why not! Sure, the off-topic section can be held for this kind of thing (Or, you know, hold this subforum), but I would still love this addition.

There are plenty of threads posted that only contain one video or one picture with no other purpose but to share. I feel that this subforum would be the perfect place to put these quick and subtle threads~

Yeah, I agree with you on that, meant it more as in the posting of useless stuff (which isn't really spamming)

That's where we can add "in moderation," where we can post what we want, but as long as what we post abides under the forum policies.

I feel like this could be a very good thing, tbh. Not a lot of forums have this kind of thing. Sure, they have an off-topic section, but nothing like this! It would be very fun imo, like some kind of "spam" section. If you see something funny you can just create a thread in this subforum, without having to worry about being called a spammer! ;D

I don't want this. Make a general thread for it if you really want to put that stuff on the forums(though I do not see why tbh. We're not like reddit where you can fit in anything you want to say somewhere.)

Trophies I don't know, it just seems like we would be adding more of the same "reach x posts, get x likes" stuff. Not much special about it. The only thing I am vaguely interested in for that aspect is the amount of years here, but even then, it is not an achievement to do that, you make an account and you will get it eventually. No real point or differentiation from not adding it.

Well, that's where you can add the "posts do not count toward post count," as the Forum Games section has. It would make sense, as we're just sharing random stuff with each other.

I understand that there can be a thread, though... It's just that people keep making new threads upon threads upon threads with a simple image or video as the OP.

It'd be cool if there was a trophy that was like 'You've been active (Aka posting, etc) for _____ years/months/whatever' trophy :DD

Also, this might be pretty awesome and really, we could create main threads in the sub forum, too.
Like a meme thread, a music thread and a fun facts thread :3
