First stop, a closeup of the server spawn! The incomplete building you see is (was) the railroad station, which had track access underground.
Spawn station. This was before powered rails/minecarts, so we used a special plugin that allowed us to create stations, cart spawns, and powered rails. From what I recall, it worked better than what we have now!
Speaking of railroads, this server had a
very impressive rail network built by the players themselves. Every major town/point on the map could be reached by rail and, more incredibly, a majority of it was laid
by hand.
Think Topians are all that? Bitch, I got
Minecoins. Get on my level.
The server's economy was pretty simple, and not too far off from what you still see on many servers today.
And now for towns! First up is the legendary town of Aval, which surprisingly wasn't on fire when I arrived.
The abandoned town of Honeydew (I think that's the name?), run by Bea-- I'm not sure if she's still around, but I still remember her.
And who could forget Silvervale? @
LISTINGS09 managed to create/run an empire so vast and prosperous that they started using diamond blocks as casual ornamentation. In fact, it was very common for new users to automatically join Silvervale! Frankly, I don't blame them.

Yuck's amazing town and even-more-amazing collisieum. I still clearly remember when, upon seeing his build, I offered him an infinite amount of resources to aid him in his builds, and he humbly declined! That's right, this entire thing was leveled and built by hand.
Rome, one of the server's very first settlements. @

My safehouse!
Some parts of the railroad were completely enclosed.

And last-but-not-least is GmK's lair, the Misty Mountain! All sorts of fun experiments happened here.
