But, I would just like to say, Deadl0ck has always been a great friend to me. He's always been there to help me, as he has with others. Say what you wish, but I find him a great guy. He's done nothing wrong as far as I know, and I would probably know as we're good friends. I've always found him fun to be around, and he's honestly always been one of my favourite staff by far. He's not the type to beat around the bushes with people when they're being silly, but he's fun to be around and caring at the same time.
Secondly, meetings just won't be the same without him in my opinion. I mean, sure, they'll still be meetings, and he's only one guy. But, he made them fun and amusing, more so than anyone in my opinion. Even when he was ill, such as yesterday, he still pulled through it and did a great job.
Thirdly, he's an inspiration to me. I know a bit about his past, and I must say, I am damn proud of him for being how he is now. He's pulled through some heavy stuff, and is continuing to, and damn he deserves a medal for it. I'll never lose communication with him, because he's like my best friend.. Infact, no. He's one of my best friends, and I don't let many people that close. Maybe I'm too caring, or sensitive, but I think he's a damn amazing guy who doesn't deserve this.
Plus, I honestly struggle to see how the community will cope without him. He basically carried it. Whilst, yes, you guys did a great job, Dead did a damn awesome job, and I'm proud about it. I'm glad to call him a friend.
And lastly, I would like to say how he's made me feel better from the worst of states, how he's been there for me and most importantly, how he's inspired me to carry on no matter how hard it gets. And, to me, that's something I could have really done with. And well, this mixed in with today was the worst possible combination ever. I won't go into my life, though.
Just, know Deadl0ck meant a lot to myself and others. Just remember that, please.

Okay, i've made the jokey comment, and my brains stopped being confused enough now for my actual response.
I am actually very surprised by this turn of events. I have been a member of this community for a long time now (back to the early days of TheOne's lava server). I'm pretty sure dead's been HA/high ranks of staff since I've been around. This major transition is going to change the community big time, I understand there may be light fallout and factions for and against this action taken forwards by head staff. I know that the community will come together during this period.
One thing I do not expect to see, before, during and after the reveal as to this administrative decision, is people going to town on a witch hunt against deadl0ck. The community has a strict policy against bullying and harassment, and just because he is now a former member of the community doesn't make harassing his name any better. I hope the staff follow procedures neutrally committed towards the community over the following weeks and months.
Deadl0ck, if you are reading this, I want to let you know you have been the only reason I stuck around this community. Back when I was an operator, one member harrassed me over PMs so much it led to me quitting my role as a staff member. It also nearly forced me into leaving the community. But you helped me and I owe you for that. To me, you've always been polite, sincere and friendly. Although you may have been globally banned, my opinion on you remains the same. I would like to thank you for spending a lot of your valued time working on this community from when it was very small and up until this recent event. I hope another community can benefit off of your skills.

Today we have lost an admin who has worked with this community for several years. Whether this change is a good thing or a bad thing, we have yet to find out.

I would prefer if the thread could be directed away from speculation and/or picking sides.
I understand that its a shock and some people are upset, like i said the decision was not taken easily. Nor have we revealed why exactly he was ban yet, so please avoid taking sides or hate-training. It simply is.
If anyone wants to talk about it/being upset by all means, i will be on IRC/Teamspeak/Minecraft (one of the servers anyway).

I was seeing this coming.. Lots of admins and Ops have been demoted due to misconduct.. but deadl0ck? I suppose, it is a small shock.

It depends though, did he rage at you for a reason? I know him, he wouldn't rage for no reason. Heck, I don't think I've only ever seen him 'rage' when he's been provoked a lot.
And, yes. I believe it's a global ban, which is a shame.

While this is a strike to the community I want everybody to remember this. As Malcovent said, this was, with no doubt in my mind, a very hard decision for them to make. Don't take this post as I me just restating what he said but rather I am stating my opinion.
Dead was a core member of this community and we all appreciate what he did for us. Remember though, everybody makes mistakes, even the admins. Just because he was an admin doesn't mean he is still vulnerable to misbehaving. Don't try to argue this or complain about this please (I know none of you currently are). The administrators did make a decision and it will be final.
We will however be having a new administrator at some point in the future judging from the previous post of malc's. Please when he or she is picked look towards him or her with friendship and not animosity because he or she filled Dead's place. This position for whomever will fill it is going to be a large amount of work and he or she will need our support. If we all start complaining about this the community can fall apart because we are not Blocktopia without the players' support. Try to stay positive, even if you don't like it. Okay?

Am I really the only person who isn't surprised by this? He was a popular member of the community, but, with all due respect, he really didn't behave suitably for an HA at times. As nice as it was to talk with him on TS, his behaviour there was really erratic and at times, I think, somewhat inappropriate.
However, he was, as Dessern said, a core member of the community, and very important to a lot of people. He will be missed.

I doubt over 50% of the community wanted Deadl0ck to be globally banned and demoted. If under 50% of the community wanted him banned/demoted, why has he been banned/demoted? It would be more understandable if a reason was given...

All I have to say is Deadl0ck, had control of a lot of situations throughout my time being here. I rarely saw him ever go overboard and I never lost respect for him, and gain respect for him throughout my stay here. This is all I can really say right now trying to process this.
