If we talk, the town may be able to read tells that help figure out who's who. If we don't talk, we can't do that, and town is basically screwed because we're voting randomly because no one's suspicious of anyone.

Sadly Hunter I see you as gung ho and cannon loose. Your hairline temperament aligns too well with other hairline emotional temperament's here and skews the information gathering process.
You forget information and talk as though only the enemy can have a night meeting while in fact it is common knowledge among us all that at night the "Commander" on base brings two individuals into their quarters, promoting them as officers at night and having a discussion.
Given the state that Notty may or may not be a solder the fact of this pirate role is in itself irrelevant.
Further according to intel received the "Pirate" has a mission to eliminate everyone leaving only one other person alive. Despite this person being an enemy the fact remains that they are statistically neutered against their goal and their mission near impossible to accomplish.
On that matter I would rather have this person as an asset to flush out terrorists, collateral damage may ensure, but those are the risks.
Hunter inevitably seemed very curious and peculiarly interested in my rank and position, which leaves me to believe he is siding with terrorists and is most likely the "distraction" or "agent" with some set of targets in mind.

Actually, Lee, I did in fact mention the commander meeting, which you can see on the previous page

While eliminating the pirate indeed is part of the win condition currently there are nineteen people.
With those odds it will not be very important to target Notty at this time.
Even if Pirate, given the utility of the role and the body count its more of a knife with a loose handle it can come free and cut you at any time but is still useful. With that once numbers die down we already a good prime suspect for that role.

You stop getting notifications if the thread is marked unread. If you frequently use the "mark all forums read" button and check the "new posts" section often, you won't encounter this problem.
