It's possible cop dies tonight. This protects him. And, there is a pretty equal chance of doc dying with cop revealed and doc dying without revealed.

Well, either way, the killer and mafia are just going to guess who to kill. Mafia may kill the killer and the other way around, mafia may kill the doctor, they may even kill the cop. BUT, it's a longshot, and the cop is the MVP in this game, so he must act fast, inspect everyone WHILE the doctor is still alive.

Now everyone has the idea. But here is the problem, the REAL cop can convince us much easier, because he knows the truth. If the false cop keeps lying, he can be brought to a dead end and lynched.

Yes, but this means that it's no guarantee that the real cop will be safe tonight, like it has been proposed.

In that case, the cop musn't reveal himself. The doctor may be killed, and seeing as how important he is, he should save himself, until the cop reveals himself, and the killer, along with the mafia member. They can be lynched then, and we will win.

If mafia claims cop the other cop should claim and the doctor will choose which one to protect. The mafia won't risk killing the real cop, since he might be saved. Not only would this waste a kill, the doctor could out and show that he saved someone.
