(On a serious note I don't see an issue with it. It's a filter that makes people laugh once in a while and does no actual harm.)

You know, rather than completely removing the filter, it could be changed to a word closer to 'lag'.
It could be a tonne of words:
- Lagalicious, that would be hilarious xD

Here's the thing though. People who will spam laglaglaglag repeatedly like in Trap Wolf's logs there are the same people that will just plain spam. Changing it to be uncensored will just change the content of their spamming.

Also, words that incorporate 'lag' in it that are commonly used such as 'flag' confuse must people.

eg:
I wish we had a capture the fbrontosaurus server.

Another thing to consider is that the filter dramatically increases the amount people can spam in a single entry.
e.g
laglaglaglaglag
becomes
brontosaurusbrontosaurusbrontosaurusbrontosaurusbrontosaurus
Having the length change so dramatically, and to such unexpected words (dinosaurs) fosters an environment that promotes spamming.

That being said, personally, I dont think it's difficult to deal with spammers, and this filter does an amazing job of highlighting people who would probably cause trouble anyway, as Damer said. If only for that reason, I think we should keep it. Plus, it's hilarious. Who doesn't like dinos?

Tl;dr The filter promotes spamming mostly just in people who would cause trouble anyway. They are easily dealt with, and the filter is entertaining. Keep it!
