So except from smp and new servers what else has changed?

:D Welcome back Jal! We have a new CMP server (BuildBox), an adventure maps server, AoD was overhauled, Lava broke and was fixed, Pick Yer Poison resigned, and HC was renamed Director.

How different is the lava server now then?

Didn't really change. The database broke and the server was rolled back to some point in April. Everyone was refunded cookies/titles though.
