Unfortunately he got hit on the head by a confused bird and he lost all his memories (including the ones to do with windows).

Fortunately the other hacker made a backup of his mind.

Unfortunately the confused bird ate the backup thinking it was chicken feed.

Fortuneately, Ridgedog some how returned the hacker's brother's memories (probably by liquefied emeralds?)

Unfortunately, he 'returned' them to a lifeless pencil instead of his brother.

Fortunately, the bird was force-fed its own words, suffocated from sub-titles blocking its wind-pipe, and died, some how undoing the memory loss.

Unfortunately the exact same thing happened again except there was no Ridgedog and it was the bird's brother.
