One of my many many powers, Is that I was able to 'promote' a player at some point during the game to give them an ability, from a list that was given to me and both them and I would receive the result the next morning. So I chose a player, I gave them the 'investigate alignment' promotion and I made them investigate you. So when this fine morning arose I received a message telling me 'Notty is Mafia'

Seems legit, you know, executing your action and then somehow having the player receive the ability during the same night and then be able to use it? Next thing you're gonna tell me they keep the ability forever.

Also foggy if I'm understanding you right, you both give an ability to someone and choose how they use it in the very same night? At what point is this 'list of abilities' given to them and do they have no choice, and if they could confirm you're not lying I'd certainly rejoice.

technically I could have let them choose who to target if I felt like it, and I was going to do that but then I remembered Notty was playing, and that made me nervous so I chose Notty as the target.

What about the list, when do they receive that - and do you open a night PM chat with them or is it just sent through ltin like a delivery cat?
They don't receive the 'List' they just receive the action that I have given to them, and it isn't a chat it's all done through Ltin's PM. In other words I had no contact directly, they didn't even know who I was if I understand correctly.

But in telling us who your target was, what's the worst thing that could come out of it, why are you being so silent and tight, surely it's the same situation whether you tell us before they claim or vice versa right?

He wants them to 'come forward' to prove they're not mafia, saying if they don't come forward he'll out their name anyways. Basically whether they're Town or Mafia he's bullying them into coming forward which is stupid. If they're forced to come forward whether they're Town or Mafia then them coming forward has no extra value to us and Foggy can just give us their name. I'm really on the fence here because this entire claim seems like a load of nonsense since I'm not Mafia but it could just be the role is right and he got a wrong report. Anyways I said that if Foggy is speaking the truth about his role(in which case the report has to be false, maybe Hk manipulated it), I thought Hk was the one he's talking about. I said this because of my action result this night.
I'll claim since why not it seems like I have a cop claim against me I don't have much choice. I am the tracker. I can track someone during the night and see who that player visited. I tracked Hk last night and surprise surprise he visited me.
I'll refrain from voting for now untill we get a response from whomever Foggy is talking about(or Foggy can just tell us already). I can't really tell if I'm up against a Mafia team, a Town Foggy + someone who corrupted his results or a Mafia Foggy dragging some innocent town person into this with his lies.

Interesting, does everything foggy said match up to your experience (no, not experience of riding a horse!) - what exactly were you told in your pm (paraphrased of course)?
Also if so, this means either Notty is mafia or HK could be some lawyer role, which would make notty innocent and hk have an evil soul.
But if the only investigation we have is one-shot from fog, I doubt we'd have a lawyer role right, so that idea can take a jog.
But we could have other investigations I suppose, like an actual full-time cop, and my favourite doctor who companion as a kid was Rose.

On the way there he very carefully disables all but one of the escape pods. In a dramatic run he quickly bursts into the control room. While everyone is confused at his startling run he pushes the self-destruct button before dramatically running out of the room. Panicing, most everyone runs to the nearby escape pods only to find they didn't work. A few attempted to chase down myusername22, but he had a head start and managed to reach the only working escape pod before being caught. He slams the door just in time and launches off somewhere into deep space happy to have stopped the mutiny, even if at great cost.
