Alouette watches as Ross descends into the crater and out of sight, but when he doesn't come back after a few minutes, she gets worried. "Ross?" Her voice echoes and she's pretty sure he would have heard it, but there's no response. After another minute, she decides: she has to go after him. But before she can, a ball of ice is pushed over the edge of the crater, quickly followed by a boy she faintly recognizes. It takes a moment, but then she realizes that he's the phoenix, and the dark-robed figure inside the ice must be Ross.
"What happened to him?" she nearly shouts, her eyes wide. "Is he going to be alright?!"

"I'm going to guess the guy in the ball of ice must be some one of the water element, though they don't seem to be a phoenix. Well, he shouldn't be frozen for long now. The icy aura that froze him was only active when I was still unconscious, so he should thaw out in no more than an hour, maybe two."

Catcocomics stands barely taller than 4 feet, 8 inches. Casual observation will see he wears a cyan tunic and cap (and essentially clothing near-identical to that of toon Link, with a few differences and variations), his hair, which looks like it has never been combed once, though short, is a darker shade of cyan, while his irises are almost neon cyan. his boots are even cyan!
On his back, Catcocomics carries his sword hilt in a specially designed sheath with snowflake patterns on it, the sword hilt is made of what looks to be highly polished silver with a sapphire encrusted in it. The sword looks complete when sheathed...

"So, what's this place? Some ball of dirt from the looks. Strange how I didn't see it before I crashed."

While unconscious inside his frozen prison, Ross dreamed. He dreamed that he was on another planet. This planet was nothing like the one he was on now. This planet had life, people, clouds, nearly everything one could imagine. Everything but water. This planet was completely dry.

As soon as he was aware there was no water, the scene of his dream changed. He was now watching a a crowd of people gathered around a hole in the ground. He noticed something else as well...Nothing he saw in the previous scene was there anymore, and everything was hotter... He thought that the person speaking reminded him of someone....Something about those purple eyes was incredibly familiar, but his body was nothing like the Guardian of Magic he knew....Then he realized he was watching a funeral. The speaker, who Ross thought had to be related to the Guardian of Magic, was mourning over the death of someone he called Neptune.

Then Ross woke. He thought to himself, "Neptune...could he be a previous Guardian of Water?....I'll....I'll need to talk to the Guardian of Magic about this...see if he remembers anything like that or if it was just a crazy dream."

Immediately following the thought, he heard the voice of the Guardian of Light say, "We really need to find that Fire Guardian now..." when his prison melted.

Ross quickly absorbed the liquid water and stood up, "I guess we never needed the Guardian of Fire, after all, Guardian of Light...Say, I never got your name...."

The Guardian of Water and the Frost Phoenix
((I'd just like to take a moment to throw mad props at trap for doing this all the time, it takes a while to transcribe things from IRC x3 ))
"You were only in the ice since I had filled the crater with water. How long that is, though, I'm not sure."

"Hmm, ok. So what exactly is going on?"

"Well, these two," Ross indicates the two nearby guardians, "wanted to get the Guardian of Fire to melt your bubble, but I though it was a terrible idea and set about getting you out without him."

The Phoenix laughs and places his hand on Ross' shoulder. "Well, you woke me up. That's all any of you really had to do. After all, it was a hollow ball, not a solid one."

Ross looks down awkwardly, "Wait, how did I wake you up? All I did was get near you and pass out..."

"Well, I kind of heard your sphere of ice hit the ground..."

Ross looks up, surprised, "What? That light of a sound woke you, but people having a conversation right next to you didn't?"

The phoenix shrugged, "I don't know, we're strange creatures, phoenixes...I personally have no real explanation.

"Oh, so they at least were correct in saying you were a phoenix. How'd you get here?"

At that, the phoenix looked up at the sky, as if trying to remember. "Well, I was just flying through space, and I just sort of crashed here."

Ross' eyes widened in disbelief. "'Flying through space?!' You've been to other planets?!"

The Phoenix laughed a bit inside upon seeing Ross' reaction. "Yes, and we phoenixes are able to survive without atmosphere and can fly thousands of times faster than the speed of light. You've heard the legends, haven't you?"

"Honestly, I can't say I have...Even if I had, I'd have dismissed most of it as an exaggeration...but hearing it from a phoenix himself changes things a bit. And, uh, if you don't mind...I have a few questions. First, if you can survive without atmosphere, does that mean you don't need to breathe?"

"Of course, and that means I could survive underwater almost indefinitely, though I can't exactly move while completely encased in ice. However, if I want to breathe, I can."

"You mean to tell me," Ross pauses to take a deep breath before completely losing his cool, "That this entire situation was completely avoidable!?" Ross seethes at the thought that this entire 'phoenix in a bubble' scenario was caused solely by himself, and visible wisps of steam start to float off of him. Then he realizes something, and starts to cool off. "Wait, if I hadn't made a bubble around you, then you would have been completely encased in ice, instead of just a shell..."

Ross is cut off because he can babble anymore, "It's ok, at least we're all pretty much unscathed. Well, except for that guy...He doesn't look so good." The phoenix raises an arm to point out the Guardian of Magic lying unconscious once more.

Ross looks over to the area the phoenix indicated. "Hold on a second, that's the Guardian of Magic, I need to- Wait, that reminds me, I had another question. Are there guardians on other planets?"

"I don't know. To be completely honest, I've never heard of a guardian, sorry" The phoenix looks disappointed that he could not help his new friend.

"Well, from what I've gathered from talking to others, a guardian is someone who protects and controls an element, for example, I'm Ross, the Guardian of Water. That guy over there is the Guardian of Magic, and I really need to speak with him."

"I see. In that case, perhaps this could help." The phoenix fishes in his pockets and retrieves a small cyan crystal.

Ross takes the crystal and stares at it, and then up at the Phoenix. "W-What is it?"

"It's a crystal that I've imbued with the power to wake someone up if they've been knocked out, or prevent an unnatural death of the person holding. Also, once it has been used, it takes quite a while to recharge.

Ross looks down at the crystal, and then up at the phoenix, "That's incredible....thank you. I have one more question: What is your name?"

"My name is Catcocomics."

Ross gives a small laugh, "That's a bit of a tongue twister, can I just call you Cat?"

"Yes, that's fine."

"Alright, and thanks for everything. See you around." Ross turns and rushes off to talk to the Guardian of Magic. He had to know more about that dream....

((Sorry, Catco, but I changed the effects of the crystal...as it was, I just thought it was a bit too powerful :c ))
((I can see how the original effects would be over powered. So I say we have it Revive a KO'ed ally or prevent incapacitation/unnatural death of the person equipped with it at the cost of one of it's charges. The item can only hold 1 charge at a time, be recharges once every 24 hours. This ok? Because the item is supposed to be revival, rather than normal healing.))

[Edit, to save room on page instead of making a completely new reply just for a response]: ((Thanks))

As Ross nears the Guardian of Magic, and notices that there are more people present than before. They are talking amongst themselves about healing the injured guardian, so he figures it's a good enough time to speak up. "Uh, guys....I think I have something that can help him."

Ross takes the last few steps towards the Guardian of Magic before kneeling down and revealing the crystal. He has a flash of doubt as he thinks, "What if this thing doesn't work?....How does it work?" but he is reassured when the crystal seems to sense the injured guardian, and goes to work on its own. In a few minutes, the purple-eyed mage is alive and well.

Without wasting any time, Ross says to the healed friend, "I need to talk to you," Ross turns his head toward the rest of the group, "Alone."

((Just a recap; Remillia wondered whether or not to stay (and stayed) and was still floating in the air. I deleted the my other post, detailing where I landed, because I really didn't like it, and it didn't seem to be too noticeable anyway... I feel terrible for that, and I don't know if it's allowed or not... but hang in there... Also there's a plot hole here in me interacting with the planet but I'll fix it up in a later post.))

Remillia, after being deep in thought for a moment, decided that before opening the Nether, she would have to check on the other Guardians first. She would usually just make the Nether and stay there until something died, getting everything ready for when that happened, but something wasn't right. She couldn't remember much of how the last planet got destroyed. This disturbed her; she could remember everything else perfectly; how the planets before this one ended, who or what ended them, but she didn't have a clue for the last planet. She only knew something terrible happened and the planet was destroyed, consumed by fire and death. She should've been able to remember all the souls that had come to the Nether! Had the other Guardians died? Was that why this planet was still a ball of mud?

She shook her head. She shouldn't think about such things until they were proven. So, she decided, before she created the Nether, she would check on the other Guardians.

After flying around for a little bit, she had spotted a cave and had decided that she would rest inside it and gather her thoughts.

She landed and... there was a half naked angel sleeping by the entrance of the cave. She started for a moment, wide eyed, and backed away a few steps. Why was the angel half naked? Would it be wise to wake the angel up? After all, she was a red eyed, transparent ghost in the form of a little girl with silver hair and this angel looked like he might be from... that place...

She backed away another few steps back, and accidentally stepped on a twig with an audible crunch. Oh crap.

This new creature walked through her group, holding a glowing crystallized object. Cyra narrowed her eyes, preparing to tackle this new creature if he is a threat to this group. He had a worried look. Instead, the pink-purple eyed alchemist woke up. Immediately, the new creature stopped worrying and said to the pink-purple eyed alchemist, "I need to talk to you, alone."
Cyra stepped in front of this new creature. "Woah, stop. You can't just come in and suddenly demand to talk to someone who just woke up, even if you used some sort of crystal to wake him up. Especially since you used some crystal. We don't even know what it does. We don't know if it harms this Guardian. We don't even know what your intensions are. Are you a threat?"

The first thing I see after waking up is Ross kneeling down in front of me, holding a cyan crystal on my chest. Realizing what it is, I grab the crystal and hold it against my head, where I believe the injury to be. I still need to get that fixed, but at least I don't need someone with healing powers to do it any more, this should give me enough energy to be able to make myself a healing potion. I feel somewhat stupid that I didn't think of that before, but sometimes the obvious solution to a problem slips right under one's nose.

After a few minutes, I feel that the charge of the crystal has been depleted and I hand it back to Ross. He asks to talk to me in private, followed quickly by the hooded girl stepping between us and stating that this is not possible. Right, I almost forgot that they don't know each other. This is going to be a problem...

I push Hoodie aside, although gently, and ask Ross, for the sake of the others: "Why is it so important that we talk alone?"

'Everyone left me. Good. I don't need them anyway.' Fauna thinks to himself, positive that he gave the wrong impression to Ross and Airis as a fun-time guy but he knew he wasn't. However, something more important sparked his interest from the memory. The ring. Since there was too much in his mind he went to the most soft and diggable piece of land by the crater and started mapping and plotting ideas. The jist of it was the ring helped amplify Flora's powers, but it surely hasn't helped Fauna for sure. At such a young age Flora, with the ring, was able to make a gigantic sentient plant but at an older age Fauna still found it hard to turn into other creatures. Perhaps this ring was only compatible for Flora? It would make sense since it has an emerald which is green which usually symbolizes growth... but then shouldn't he have plant-like abilities too? He tried doing all sorts, mimicking Flora's actions in the memory and doing stuff which he felt should be right but nothing worked... Maybe this ring was meant for Flora but then why was he wearing it, and why couldn't it come off? Then comes the question of the sapphire ring, who was this for? Like Fauna thought earlier, it sure wasn't helping him with his metamorphosis abilities. Was this another Guardian's ring like Natures? What does blue have to do with nature? Do the colours of the gem mean anything? Why couldn't he take off the rings? If the blue one was his does it mean another field of his powers had increased? Like his talking to animals and just natural connection with them? Or did he gain another power related to his ultimate power? So many questions... Fauna doubted anyone else here had answers and even if they did he'd rather keep this a secret.

After curiosity for the rings had left him another thing bugged him. Why were the Guardians down the crater for so long? Fauna cautiously crouched over the crater and peered down to see quite a few people, a few he had seen before and few not. However, one looked particularly different, and Fauna felt drawn to him more than the others... except there was another one too that peaked his interest. Looking somewhat distraught, there was some sort of alchemist-guardian which Fauna presumed was magic or the guardian of fancy dress. The alchemist seemed to have something of another worldly presence, kinda like a wise old man is fairy tales. Fauna could tell this person had seen a lot which meant he might know something about the previous world, if they were on the same world before of course. Magic... Previous world... Fauna hoped they might be able to see previous memories but really didn't want help on this. If the time came the only person who could help him would most likely be this guy. He made a mental note and slouched down on the ground and looked around. Was there anyone else who wasn't in the crater? He couldn't spot Airis in the crater or around it. There may have been more of the surface but Fauna had too much on his mind. 'This will clear up someday.' he told himself, scratching at his ring.
But that day was not today.

Ross is somewhat distraught at the long strong of questions, but turns to address them. He's not certain that all of his hunches are correct, but he's not about to be bested by some creepy girl with a hood. He speaks confidently, "I'm Ross, the Guardian of Water. I don't know who you are, but he and I have already met. This crystal came from a Frost Phoenix, and has only healing properties. I am not a threat, though I have a feeling you might be. That's why I want to talk to him alone." Ross quickly turns to address the alchemist once more. "I will say one word to you. After that, it's up to you whether or not you will speak with my privately. Neptune."

"Oh yes, I'm the threat when you're the newcomer. Of course, this is the Guardian of Magic's choice. But who knows what you're going to talk and plan about. No one else will know what you talked about. This totally won't cause suspicion if something bad happens." Cyra said casually.
