On the ground, he was able to make Cyra's hand extending out towards him. He took that hand and thanked Cyra. Once he was back on his feet, he responded. "My apologies for that screw up. I was just... well... deep in thought, and wasn't looking where I going. That's how I stumbled and tripped." He didn't lie - he was deep in thought and wasn't paying attention to where he was walking. He decided to not reveal the reconnaissance cloud yet, though.

"Let us keep moving. I'd prefer to spend as little time in the darkness of this cave as possible", still nervous about the lack of clouds.

Cyra nodded. She brushed dirt or whatever cave substances off her cloak. Why is there liqui- Well great. Her knee was bleeding. Cyra pushed her cloak behind her back, revealing the black shirt and dark blue jeans she was wearing.

Sighing, she continued walking into the cave. She could see the fallen stalagmite from before. They were getting closer to the portal.

Skri'ik, when looking at Cyra, noticed a red liqiud just in the corner of the vision from the goggles. Cyra had tripped earlier and was bleeding.
He widened his eyes. "You're injured, Cyra? You should have that treated immediately. Here, this will help for some time." He conjures a very small cloud, small enough to just clean up the wound. She should've spoken about it earlier, for her own sake.
He also noticed fallen stalagmites. Something had happened in this place, and something big. What exactly happened? Was it some catastrophe? Whatever it was, all would be revealed when they found the others.

Embarrassed to look up, Cyra looked at the tiny and fluffy cloud as it cleaned the blood and dirt off her wound.

"Thanks," she muttered.

After the cloud went 'poof', she looked at her surroundings. Stalagmites and chunks of the Nether were obvious now. She gulped. Signs of corruption were obvious too. Remilia got magic taint at this very spot.

Corrupt. Corruption. Her only goal is to corrupt.

Cyra looked around again. Nether-y lava-y red rocks. "They're chunks of the Nether that flew out when uh-" Corruption. Remilia. Corrupt. "-Remilia opened the portal."

Liro touched the side of the cave It's obvious that there was some kind of explosion recently. The cave might be unstable. "Careful, she's a bit hurt over here."

"She? She as in some other Guar- Wait a minute. Did you mean the ground? Do you refer to the ground as 'she'?" Cyra found that incredibly funny for some reason and bursted out laughing.

Shri'ik perked up in interest. A portal had been opened up here? A portal to the nether, no less. That explained all the red stalagmites and the "unstable" state of the cave, according to Liro. But why exactly was it opened?
Skri'ik asked Cyra "If you know what exactly went down here, tell us; why was a portal opened here?"

Cyra tried to stop and answer, but bursted out laughing again. "Sorry-" 'She.' "-I just can't-" Hahahah. "-Okay I think I got it now-" Hahaha. "-Nope." She cleared her throat. "Okay all goods. Honestly I don't know. They were just talking or arguing or something. Basically speach and communication. Then ta-da there was a portal. Then ta-da chunks of the Nether and stalagmites everywhere." And Hope saved them from a falling stalagmite. And how did she repay him? By corrupting him! Great job Cyra. Corrupt. Corruption. Yup. Corrupt.

"Alright... thanks..." 'Was it really that weird, referring to the ground as "she"? It's just what felt natural to me. Oh well, I should just concentrate on what's important, getting to this "portal" alive.' he thought.

Skri'ik was not exactly satisfied with this explanation. So some arguments had gone down, and resulted in a portal. Perhaps created on impulse? That seemed to be the case. However, he wanted more detail. More knowledge. Yes. Knowledge would help.
For now, either that was everything Cyra knew, or she wasn't willing to elaborate. The rest of the knowledge would come from those further in the cave. "Let us continue forward and investigate this portal. We should be able to find out just what happened."

Both pains in her head and knee are increasing. Both unbearable. She started to grimace after every step. Then she started limping. Not good. Not good at all.

Skri'ik notices Cyra slowing down. When he looks back, she appears to be limping. Those injuries must be worsening. He extends a hand to Cyra. "I'm assuming your injuries are getting worse by the second; would you like a hand? This way, we will get to the portal faster, and you can treat your injuries faster. Win-win."

Cyra started to glare and prepared to snap at Skri'ik, but thought better of it. She did require help. She didn't want to slow her compani- Corruption. Corrupt. Her eyes started to fla- No! She quickly looked away. Some weird rocky substances formed on the wall. Er. Okay. She looked back and took Skri'ik's hand. "Thanks," she mumbled, hoping he didn't notice the wall behind them.

Cyra's reaction seemed to be as expected, hesitating at first, but it appeared she knew just as well as he did that this was a better way. With Skri'ik guiding Cyra, they moved at a faster pace than before, and so they would reach the portal faster. Just as planned. Then they could finally figure out that coveted knowledge.

Liro felt a slight disturbance nearby in the ground. We're probably just getting closer to the portal, he thought. Seems like Skri'ik is offering a helping hand to Cyra, maybe they are a couple after all.

The trio arrived at a slightly larger room. Cyra wondered briefly if it's larger naturally or it's damaged by the Nether portal. Speaking of the Nether portal, she could see the portal directly ahead. She also saw the Guardians of Magic and Wind. Magic is working on the portal, which was glowing slightly from either Magic's magic or just the portal itself. Wind was behind a rock. "Should we announce our arrival?" She spoke softly to her companions. Corrupt. Corruption.

Guardian of Life

Life yawns, still on her side curled into a ball on the ground. She opens her eyes slowly, peacefully, but her peace only lasts a moment as the memories of a few moments before invade her mind. She jolts up, looking at the place she remembered Hope lying. Still there. In the same state as before. She looks around to see others. That nether girl and someone I don't think I've seen before. The water guy is lying on the ground.. asleep? How long was I unconscious? I must have drifted off.. She thought, silently observing the group. Briefly, Life considers walking over to them but immediately decides to sit where she was and watch.

Ross wakes up and is what seems an endless ocean. No, he's not awake. He's dreaming. Naturally and without realizing, the first thing he does in the dream is shift into his aqueous form, a skill that he has used many times before and will use many times to come.

Ross took a while to simply swim through the tropical water. He swam up, it seemed that there was no surface. He swam down, he could find no bottom. He swam in straight lines, he found no end. I've never seen so much water....Where'd it all come from?" He had stopped swimming and for a few seconds there was a movement to the water he had not felt before. For a moment, nothing happened, then he felt as if he was no longer alone. From the water materialized a man with only a thin layer of hair atop his head, and a long white beard, all blued like his own hair. In the man's left hand, a long trident. In his right, an orb of water that seemed....Different from the water surrounding it. It seemed more solid, as if it was frozen, but warm. His voice thundered towards Ross, but seemed dampened by the water. "Hello, Ross."

Ross, awestruck, simply returned to his Guardian form. He felt he had to show difference to this magnificent being. The being merely put his hand on Ross' shoulder. "There is no need for that. We are equals. I need you as much as you need me." The being looked down, saddened. There was obviously some reason he had brought Ross here, but he was not going to enjoy telling him about it. "There are harsh tides coming to your world. I'm afraid it may already be too late. However, it was a step in the right direction what you did for Kata, bringing her to Cura like that."

Ross stops the man, confused. "Kata? Maisha? Who are these people?"

Enlightenment dawns on the being's face. "Oh, I'm sorry, it's been a long time since I've known them personally. Back when I was a Guardian, those were the names of Remillia and Kysa as you know them." He pauses, making a mental note to call Guardians by the names Ross understands. Satisfied, he continues, "Kysa will be able to repair Remillia, but that is only the beginning. There are larger threats than her magic taint. Cyra is a threat. She is fighting it, but she's always been trouble. The darkness as well. It is extremely dangerous....However, he is in the same situation as Pyro was. He is not in control of his aspect. That is all I can tell you for now, but please, take these."

Ross graciously accepts the artifacts offered to him. The same artifacts that the aspect was holding: The trident and the orb of water. He observes them more closely. The trident has markings all along its six foot shaft, all perfect and intricately carved. The points are not in line as Ross had originally thought, but instead curve in a sort or triangle shape. It almost seems as if three long spears were merged into on trident to make this weapon. The orb seems to be made of water, unsurprisingly, but Ross is at a loss for how the orb could stay separate from the water around it. It seemed somehow purer, yet had exactly the same appearance.

Ross looks to where his aspect was to question it about the gifts, but it had dissipated into the water.

The water around him started to shimmer, and the realm of water began to fade. Ross was reluctant to leave, but knew that he couldn't stay. He woke from the dream satisfied, he knew that all things that happened in Guardians' sleep had significance. He had the artifacts in his hands to prove it, he couldn't hide the trident, but he did put the orb in his pocket. He stood up, perfectly rested, yet he had only been asleep for a few minutes at most, but the the dream seemed hours. He looked at the Guardians around him. Hope and Zwn, sitting on the ground. Kysa and Alouette doing something...Probably talking about boys or doing their nails or something. And Remillia. Ross looks down at her expecting her to still be passed out, but she is awake asking, "Hey, where am I?"

After the shock of seeing her awake, Ross is eager to answer her questions. He sits down next to her and says, "You're at the crater. How are you feeling?"

((Gotta love the hyper-reaction Ross has in water \o/ - For logic's sake: Ross' consciousness was taken by his aspect (in the form of Poseidon, I was thinking perhaps if a certain Guardian did particularly well in their life, they could take over as the aspect itself. Sound decent enough?) to a realm of completely water, and as we all know Ross heals and rests incredibly fast in water.))

"Give me a moment. I'd like to quickly figure out what I can from watching them before asking them questions." He peeked over, hoping he was not noticed.
One guardian appeared to be doing something to the portal. What exactly was he doing to the portal, though? Something harmful, or something good? He did not know. He made a mental note to ask that question. The other was sitting behind a rock. He could not make out what he was doing. He would have to ask this guardian what he was thinking.
He nodded to Cyra. "I am now ready to speak to these people."

Fire...

She glanced up.

Angered faces, taunting jeers, wicked grins with the twisted sense of justice.

It's climbing up...

Breathing in smoke, unwillingly, she coughed.

The binds were tight, keeping her stuck to the post.

It hurt.

(ithurtithurtithurtithurtithurt)

Looking up, she made a feeble attempt to struggle against the binds, to fly up. To reach the sky.

She couldn't reach it.

As the fire climbed up, she found that she couldn't breath.

(ithurtithurtithurtithurtithurt-)

It caught to her arms, enveloping her, burning her, choking her.

(helphelphelpplease-)

Unbidden, tears fell from sky-blue eyes.

(I didn't do anything, please-)

"This is for all the shit you did!"

(I didn't do any of that, please, stop-)

A silent plea caught her throat, and found that she couldn't speak up.

She closed her eyes tightly, awaiting an inevitable fate, that she was going to burn-

(-helphelphelpPLEASE-)

-And yet, in the midst of all that, only one word struck, just one name, that she held on to-

(help, please, help-)

~-~-~-~-~
-And Himinn's eyes shot open.

Heart beating, she took deep breaths as she assessed the sight before her.

She was still in the cave.

She curled up, back facing the wall, finishing that final sentence, with a name.

But instead of the name he used then, she ended it with the name he used now.

'Endal!'
