Sorrow shoots through her body in waves of guilt. Another has died.
Why couldn't I save them in time? I'm life, I needed to protect them. Did I know them? Maybe I did.. She frowns as tears well in her eyes and she blinks them away quickly.
What a wimp, it's just some dead people. You'll never survive later, when the planets gets underway. Toughen up. Zwn nods, looking up and watching as Light conjures some weird reflections of them in the ground.
Cool. Hope still sits beside her, silent and observing just as she is.
Within a few moments, darkness floods the area they'd all gathered at and the world goes black. Muffled shouts and sudden flashes of light sliced through the shadows as Zwn's disoriented gaze searches for something, anything, to focus on. A few voices she vaguely recognises float on the air and many she doesn't but one stands out in particular. Though she can't make out the words, she can hear Cyra's voice speaking. Soft and malicious. Zwn scowls into the void.
Devious, deceitful witch. She thinks forcefully.
Evil, malicious dog.
She feels a sudden rush of air as no doubt a winged figure launches themself into the air, away from the chaos happening around her. She watches as a soft illumination shows three figures escape into the sky, the large wings of the protector menacing and powerful in his silhouette.
Odd.. She thinks, looking back the source of the faint light.
It's almost like fire, but how can Ross produce fire? She pales, looking again at the liquidized fire as it's thrown towards two other figures and dissipates
. So the fire guardian died and was almost.. blended.. with Ross? Shaking herself out of her thoughts, she jumped to her feet and not before shooting a quick glance in the direction she Hope was in, she ran.
Where am I even going? I'm sorry, Hope. I need to run. Forgive me.
~Flashback~
She smiles at the battle, blood trickling down her face. Laughing, she swings her axe into someone's head. Dead.
Revenge. Her grin is unstable, almost insane as she swings her axe into another. Dead.
These humans are too easy. She peers around, her green eyes still clouded with red.
Revenge. Searching, for not someone in particular, but someone she can distinguish from all the others. A guardian, any guardian.
Revenge. As she stands, observing the fight, her axe gets thrown out of her hand and clatters to the ground. The human, a bulky, rather large man keeps her from retrieving it.
Revenge. He throws a spear into her shoulder and she smiles at him, oddly calm and showing no sign of pain. Still grinning, she tugs the spear out of her shoulder and drops it, watching as it thumps to the dusty red ground.
Revenge. The human, who surely thought he could fight a skinny woman, watches in terror as the wound on her shoulder closes. The only trace it was ever there being a trail of blood that trickles down her arm to her hand before a droplet plummets to the dirt. He gapes at her without a sound, allowing her to duck out of his sight and swing her leg, causing him to fall, hard, onto his back. "Goodbye," She whispers, her confidence never wavering. To her surprise he leaps to his feet with amazing agility for a man of his size and readies himself for hand to hand combat.
She laughs briefly, wiping her eyes for effect before locking them to his. He began to attack, throwing punches and kicks her way, nothing new, nothing difficult. She smirked, ducking and dodging as he throws attack after attack at her. Unable to get past her quick dodges and even quicker interceptions he paused for breath, sure she wouldn't attack.
What a mistake. She throws her foot into the air, making contact with his chin but he grabs her leg, grinning triumphantly. Giggling at his ignorance, she flips herself and kicks him in the side of the head with her other leg whilst managing to land gracefully. With one last smile, she trips him once again and locks eye contact with him as she shoves his own spear into his chest. "Goodnight."
