I'm going to make small pyramid (32x32) dedicated to Lava Survival in SMP.
Its going to be visible from AT LEAST 512 meters... (it may be still visible from edge of map)
(My computer is old slow dinosaur - Extreme Distance lags on flat land and I play on short or short+16 normally (I have Optifine, Rei's Minimap and Convenient Inventory))
It was made in single player in latest snapshot, then screenied it in 1.2.5 (no stuff from snapshot were added)
Its pyramid with huge Lava Pillar over it, to make it visible from as far as your render distance and map limits allows.
Lavafall under pyramid wont be visible -its underground part.
Close view on pyramid - its made of brick(wolf) and netherrack (LAVA!)
Top of Pyramid! Glass protects brick staircase from lava. It may be accessible only from top, by waterfalls.

Brick staircase at pyramid level.
Pyramid will nicely glow at night!
It will use up to 40 stacks of sand, clay and netherrack for making this pyramid.
I made thread there, because I made it in Creative Single Player mode in snapshot.
@Controller+ feel free to move it to right thread if its in bad forum.
@TNT/Zombie staff and playerbase, I'm making only lava one, because I was first on Lava Survival, got giftcode from CaramelCow on birthday (Araidian told him to do it) and had great fun on Premium with Lava staff and playerbase.

EDIT #2: As of 13rd July, 1:00 AM GMT+2 Phase Two is complete!
