except not reallySurely even a Town PR would want to appear as Townie as they could so that they wouldn't get accidentally lynched?
That could just as easily clear me as condemn me.when you're a townie, your main concern is scumhunting. when you're a scum, your main concern is appearing town-like to avoid getting lynched.
yes that is precisely the point my post, albeit simplified enough to make it a strawmanLong story short according to your post if I'm scum I try to act innocent, and if I'm innocent I don't care if I act scummy or not.
the main problem with this is that you literally say in your next post that he looks like a confused (read: unskilled) player, which means that yes, he's not doing a good job, because, guess what, he's not that goodIf his main objective at the front of his mind is to appear Townie and rid of any suspicion he sure isn't doing a good job
yes, that's the "he's not that good" partHe's been contradicting himself
yes, that's the overeager to look townie part. since you gotta look town, you're overeager to look like you're scumhunting, while also providing us with vague stuff like "excessive claiming hurts the town" and "my enemy's enemy is not necessarily my friend"throwing suspicion on people since the beginning.
Okay I see where you're coming from now. Just to clarify, by 'confused' I didn't mean "unskilled", I just thought he was simply confused by the set-up, which is why I wasn't using the idea of him being "unskilled" in my thought process behind my posts, but I haven't played any other games with Ltin so I guess you could be right and this is his play-style. But yeah, whilst I agree that he's most likely Town, I understand your reasoning now, apologies.yes that is precisely the point my post, albeit simplified enough to make it a strawman

everything is subjective and should be taken with a grain of salt, and i know that ltin is probably a townie. the point is, out of all the people, he looks most likely to be scum, and even if that likelyhood is objectively small, say 10%, then it's even smaller for everyone else in my eyes, which is why i'm voting for him
final post for a bit for me, as i'll be participating in the national debating championships over the weekendi don't think it's fair to differentiate and discuss based on actions solely,
honestly i agree, it's kinda frustrating since i really don't think ltin has any more chance of being mafia than the rest of us so i don't think i should vote him, but then again that's the only thing we got as you said, and looking at what people are saying a no lynch is out of the question so might as well get the ball rolling a little bitfinal post for a bit for me, as i'll be participating in the national debating championships over the weekend
anyway, the game is at a stage where there are close to no events to shape it, that's why i'm voting based purely on behaviour and it's actually also why the first few days usually suck, but we gotta get through them somehow and the way we do that is by behavioural analysis
which is not to say that behavioural analysis isn't important in the late game, right now it's just pretty much the only thing to base our decisions on
I'm not really doing either.Ltin hasn't really defended himself up to this point meaning that a) he's given up or b) he's staying quiet on purpose.
I don't see how staying quiet OR giving up is beneficial to the town if you're a towny that's getting lynched.
