i read that it was supposed to bring you closer to 1200 by lowering your elo based on your mmr, and im estimating 200

Basically, league is shifting towards how sc2 works as in you can play with a team but the game is focused as 1v1. Im a bit confused as to why this is being done when league is a team game, and now the only champs that will be played are ryze yo rick and cait because they are godly 1v1 champs...
What does everyone think about this? Im willing to bet that this will become the more popular gamemode as games will be faster and if you lose its only your fault..

It's simply offering alternatives. I don't think they will ever focus on 1v1's, League knows it's roots and where it lies, which is 5v5 SR.

I kind of doubt that people will treat 5v5 as the real elo ladder. 1v1 is a real test of your skill against your opponents, not your team against an enemy team. Idk tho
EDIT: What riot SHOULD do is release 1v1 and 2v2 as normal game modes, and keep team 3v3 5v5 and soloqueue 5v5 as the real elo ladder.

Guarantee you though that I would've been struggling in Silver promos still regardless if my elo is that high. All my promo games that I've played were some of the hardest.
