Well, assuming we don't lynch the doctor we will get closer to finding the remaining anti-town members with this lynch. It'll be more likely for me to find anti-town.

I already have a plan in place for Night 4's investigation, hopefully it doesn't overlap with the vigilante's plan.

Well, I just feel I can trust you and JKangaroo more than anyone else at the minute. I'd like to see his opinion too.
If you are currently talking about the Dillon situation, sadly you'll be disapointed because at the moment I really don't have an opinion.
In fact, ever since this vote on Dillon began I've essentially avoided not posting purely because, well...
What am I going to say?
I don't entirely condone the reason for voting Dillon off; I can see the notion behind the lynch as you want the game to progress further, and we really can't get anywhere as it is currently.

However, there's still the question of, why? Why Dillon? What has he done? Is there evidence? controversy? skepticism? or really anything behind the notion of Dillon worthy of being a lynched target?
This lynch, though under different circumstances, the goal is cleanly presented as exactly that from the lynching of Jolteon back in Mafia Lite prior to this season, that being:

"You are a silent player whom normally doesn't speak out into the thread, surely, for it is not benefiting the town, and really the entire game from progressing, a lynch upon you is necessary."

That was the lynch that really made me frustrated with that season, and was hoping it would never be present in a season of Mafia further down the line.
If I must, I will agree with Defiant on this one is that speaking out only when being targeted for a lynch is not suspicious, merely natural.
Why wouldn't you defend yourself? Defending yourself from the town is necessary for both Town-sided and Anti-town roles.

I know the point behind the lynch; we aren't getting anywhere.
Yes we aren't getting where because we aren't necessarily taking risks, but, are they "good" risks?
Yes people aren't talking and yes that is indeed stalling the game, but should we be voting them off because of that reason?
I actually don't want to get into this discussion, because although I do not want Dillon to be lynched off purely based on this logic behind the lynch, there's still that part of me that just wants to go along with it and just let the lynch happen, because at the end of the day, nothing's going to progress if nothing happens, and eventually the game will die in such a scenario should nothing happen.

The first time it died, there really wasn't any enthusiasm with the ending, it felt hollow and uninteresting.
I don't want to see another Mafia game to die.
It's a conflict between a want for progress and personal values on the subject, and because of that, I don't really want to talk about the situation or take a side for the case of lynching Dillon.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
However, for discussion of the game as a whole...
I've had this idea for awhile, but it seems after seeing the argument over Dillon, the idea kind of rekindled and makes a bit more sense to implement into this post then previous posts but...

Although I don't entirely like using random information based on style of play, character/personality, new vs. old players, I believe this could be an exception to that for me.

If we look back over the course of the past Night-cycles, it seems there is a pattern that hasn't entirely occurred constantly throughout any Mafia season.
Every night it seems a single person being suspected during the previous day ends up dying that night, being revealed the next day.
-In this case we have Hockeyfan whom died Night 2 after suspicion on him alongside that of Storm and Notty
-As well as Kylie who died tonight after being suspected alongside a (successful) lynch of storm.

I haven't entirely seen this before from previous seasons & feels rather strange.
Although this may very well be (and I guess kind of is?), in my mind this seems more like a tactic newer players would use in an attempt to lynch of Mafia as they seemed the most likely candidates during the day period.

It certainly doesn't feel like a tactic the Mafia would use, because being in and out of the shoes of Mafia over the course of all these seasons, I have seen (when not mafia) and have used (when Mafia) that the best chance of killing a player off during the night period is to kill someone not entirely suspected or stayed relatively away from a lot of the discussion during the day period, because there was normally always a high chance that either the Vigilante or Serial killer would kill those suspected during the day period.

Because of this, I am suspecting that some of the more quieter / newer players are the most likely candidates for both the roles of Vigilante and Serial killer.
Now, I am essentially taking this list from the 4 so called "quiet" people whom (I believe) Aloha presented, but generally, I'm thinking 2 out of the 4 people (that being Musta, Jeff, Dillon, and Vati) are the powerroles of Serial killer and Vigilante.

The Vigilante has never really been a direct course of discussion in any Mafia game really, and I thought perhaps it might be, seeing as we are on the topic of these more quieter players, I thought it might be nice to spark a little discussion based on the idea I had above, perhaps it can give a little idea of a lynch?

I believe my idea could be true, and if it is, I am suspecting:
- Musta to be the Vigilante
and
- Jeff to be the Serial killer

Both are a bit of a stretch but, eh, it's just an idea, nothing too serious.

I'm going to post something else in response to stuff in the past, but class starts again and I want to get this out there first.

Wow I cant believe I didnt catch that pattern that is usually what I sometimes look for.

Also Dess I dont think that is really vati talking since he is saying one sentence things like "Alpha you arent suspected since you are cop." That doesn't seem like contributing much to make it seem like he is trying to not be picked off next but I guess it is possible considering he rarely has said anything for most of the game

Voting No Lynch. I am fearful of accidently voting the doctor.

I'll do my investigation tonight, hopefully vigilante fires to make things a bit easier, and then for Day 4 we should have things to talk through.

JKangaroo I like the post you made there, but I don't think we have enough time until the night to fully explore it. I'll respond to it(Assuming I live) on Day 4.

If we do a no lynch, we will face up to three people dying tonight. Crossfire I believe is likely, and I have a good feeling that the vigilante will do a good job.

No I am not going to retract. He honestly is contributing nothing to this.

And before you all start "omg he's mafia he lynched a townie". We have no proof of him being town, I am going to go with the safest bet I have right now and lynch him.

Also fun side note: Notice how vati became active once Dillon started getting into a close to lynch experience? That doesn't sit well with me.
Are you trying to implie the fact that I am mafia and I am protecting a mafia compadre? If so say so or just stop bullshitting us with your stupid suspicions. You have it all wrong, I am a fellow towny protecting someone who I believe is a fellow towny

I am not trying to "bullshit" you. I am stating my suspicions and what I find could be very important in the discussion.

Balloon, you voted for me, which was your decision. I am just asking now if there is any way or reason I could give you to retract your vote? If I were to convince you, and you retracted your vote, that would put me in the clear of the instant lynch. I'm almost positive that Dessern won't change his mind, therefore you would be my lifeline. That is all I ask.

What do you mean I haven't gotten alerts since Sunday!?

Anyway, a little surprised how nobody mentioned how bandwagony the votes on Dillon were. People seemed to be jumping to conclusions pretty quickly and it's somewhat suspicious to me.

And remember that there's still the chance that Alpha is the contact. We all know how notty tricked us into lynching zezmi before.

Why are we trying to figure out who the vigilante is.
Stop, it doesn't help the town, but it helps the mafia.
Don't discuss it, you only give the mafia hints as to who to kill.
I agree with this. We should just let the vigilante know who to kill instead of finding out who it is.

Also, I'm not sure my stance on a no lynch... we're running low on town members, but we don't have an accurate lead. I'll just stick with voting for nothing as of now.
