Hi All,
I feel that the map Glacier could do with a Biome change.
When the map was first created in was mushroom biome which was perfect as the water allowed players to get to the top of the map and prepare for lava.
Some time along the line it was changed to a snow biome.
I feel this maps the map unfair due to maps constantly knocking players off their pillars while trying to exit spawn . The fix for this would be to change the area around the hole to a biome which allows the water to melt as intended.

I honestly feel like the map's biome is just about right! (also, why don't the chrome and firefox dictionaries recognize the word "biome"?) It's not extremely hard to get up, in my opinion- Maybe a little harder than it used to be, but hey, it's the fun way, right? Why choose the easy path? :D

Mostly because there is little or no resources that will allow a player create a pillar up to the surface. It is basically all ice and snow. The adminium base for the top section prevents players from getting up from anywhere but the middle. Which in its self is rather silly.
I have died a few times due to mobs in the bottom area, this means i had no blocks to get up meaning i had no choice but to sit in spawn. The map is not fun when you constantly have spiders or skellies knocking you off

My problem is not the biome, its where the spawn is that annoys me and its protection zone because it makes it annoying to pillar up as the spawn protection zone blocks most good spots to pillar, and also There's nothing wrong with a few maps that can kill you. In my opinion a better thing would to do is move the spawn a couple blocks so the spawn protection zone does not cover the good pillaring spots and it would make it easier see mobs that may be up there.

The reason that the biome was changed on Glacial was because the mushroom biome offered no sort of challenge whatsoever, so the map was consider an easy round with no effort given. You would see players running around the map at night time with no fear (since mobs didn't spawn) until around 10 minutes left when the lava wave reaches the surface.

At least with this biome change it is actually a challenge now to pillar up to the surface. If that's an issue, then you don't HAVE to pillar up; there are alternatives to survive on the map.

Another major part of the mushroom biome removal is that it provided mooshrooms, a vast source of plentiful and free food. Also, it's glacier. Glaciers are cold and made of ice and snowy. I'll consider changes to the spawn but will not be changing the biome. You forget that there is a perfectly habitable bottom half of the map, I'm disinclined to make changes because there's some sort of thought that the upper half is the only place to go.
