Name: Clay_Mine (Or Clay Mine, but for some reason it just feels 20% more awesome for to me when there's an underscore instead of a space. I have no idea why- probably nostalgic feelings because of classic lava survival. Anyway, it's the first map in my "Resources" series, although I'm not sure if I'll be making any other ones.)

Creator: bram13
Size: Do I still have to tell you? 128x128, just like... what, the last 8 maps I submitted? I didn't include a bedrock wall or any border, sorry about that! Might make one in a few days or something, and if not, sorry.

Biome: Plains.

Content of chests: Most of the chests just contain a little bit of clay, and I don't believe I included anything else in chests. Probably some useless stuff, but I can't name them- I made this map like a month or so ago.

Pictures:

An overview of the entire map. You can see the spawn is pretty much in the middle of the map.

As stated before, this is a map in the "resources" series. This means I tried to include most materials people would want. In this picture you can see the MSC (Mass Sand Collector). It collects sand from the small lake, and brings them into here:

There's a timer in that storage area, which should release at 2 minutes.

That's not the only resource-thing there is, however. You've also got the MWC (Mass Water Collector) where the miners get all their water. The MWC pumps water from an underground lake:

I've actually put a timer in there, even though I realize it's not really needed.

This timer should release at the same time as the MSC, 2 minutes into the round.

After that you've got the LTC, short for Large Timer Collector. It collects timber, duh. Also has a few stone bricks, which players seem to have some strange affection for. It's almost as if they need it to survive. Oh, wait. They do. On annoyed+ anyway.

Another feature is the Floating Island of Rysmariftyioplaksamifrolelfrarofisawesomezatsteinmax which has the LGP (Large Gravel Producer) on it. It basically turns dirt into gravel. Science, love you!

After that you've got one more building, the LCC (Large Clay Collector). It's the biggest one, also having the most people working in it, who call it "The Mine" or "The Clay Mine" (hence the name of this map). Unfortunately due to some mass murder of employees by cows, it is now... eh... 'abandoned'.

As you can see, I've actually been able to make a big building out of this. This is possible because it's entirely made out of wood, redstone lamps, clay and other things that (should) melt on calm.

A look inside one of the rooms of the miners, in which a little note is left behind by one of them. "Delving deeper and deeper in the clay mines, one of our teams has stumbled across a very odd thing to be seen that deep in the planet... Cows?!"

The last shelter of the humans, built a few years after the note by the miner. A world-wide cowpocalypse has struck the Earth, and only few people have survived. Strangely, the inhabitans of the shelter are absentand the building is filled with cows...

The spawn, located halfway up the mountain.

Timers

All three timers shown above should release 6 minutes into the game.

Here you can see timer 2 and 3, and I think it's obvious which one's which. Timer two should release at 10 minutes, timer three at 15.

After that you've got another timer a little higher and to the right (the fourth one) and one almost right beneath spawn, the fifth one. Timer 4 should release at 20 minutes, while timer 5 should release at 25 minutes.

Then there's one more timer, right above the Last Shelter. Lava should release at 30 minutes.

(v. 1.15), with dirt borders http://www.mediafire.com/?0541zk8an3qajc0

I will most likely be making the borders the way they are in Dimensions atm, and potentially do that for any other maps as well.

Wait... What? How'd you post absolutely nothing?
Edit: Heh, I had to use char U+2001 to keep that quote block open, otherwise it would've disappeared. Hope nobody's browser crashes!

Ahh, I see, with empty quote blocks.
*heh heh heh*
/exploit incoming
Wait wtf. How did I post nothing?

Meh, I'm going to leave the map the way it is right now. Not adding or removing anything- It just feels finished for me. I can see what you mean, but I just think adding more structures or anything would be a bad idea: The map is called Clay_Mine, and that's the theme of the map. A clay mine :3

Would've been more fitting to have a quarry instead of a clay mountain.

That said, from a gameplay stance, think the verticality should work out pretty well for this map. Should be a good source of hardened clay, which RoF doesn't really have yet, so I'd say why not. I'm all for this.

I enjoy the trees and lands below the clay mountain but this is just appalling to me, it reminds me of another map you had made.. The one with the obsidian mountain mixed with stone, cobble and stone brick.
I love the lands at the bottom, but the mountain is not very appealing to the eye in my opinion.
