Why do I get the feeling the closing of TNT map submissions and staff application is the beginning of the end for blocktopia's classic servers. I hope I'm wrong though.

Somehow bribe Notch and all of them to fix the skin issue that THEY caused and allow normal classic account to be made again instead of using your email address as the username. If these are fixed it will fix classic. Until then classic is dead, sorry it is.

Yesterday TNT had over 10 people on it for hours. Also server activity is not the most important thing, server health is, if a server is healthy players will come, if a server is not it will quickly die.
