Ahh yes.. I do know but you need pro or LE if you want to use a controller like I do.. (I am running off le.. its really basic - less features then home, although I do get access to libraries of samples and other effects that I can use with home but not le ;D )

Naa I am on a Mac. I do have garageband and a few awesome free expansions from Native Instruments.. I just cant be bothered writing anything xP

Dude, Logic Pro. It's a natural step up from GarageBand. I use it and it's probably one of the easiest DAWs to get to grips with. NI Massive and Sylenth are pretty much the only VSTs you'll need to begin with as well.
