[Server suggestion/discussion]Minecraft Kart Racing.

You mean like...my Minecart Racing server?

Unsure if this post by GmK is a true hint at things to come, or just a joke, but I wanted to create a thread to discuss it because I really love the idea!

There are a few bukkit plugins giving cars...

...And I think this server would be fun, pretty unique (all other servers of this type are specifically Mario, and haven't found that many) and would really only need staff to ref the races/come up with events/keep things running good. It would also be fun to build maps for, and would be fun to test :)

But in all seriousness: If someone builds a course, we could do this as an after meeting event. I don't ever see it happening as a proper server though, cause, honestly, long lasting appeal = 0 :D

Doesn't even have to be a kart racing - what if we had a race server where you had a starting line and infinite sprint and first person to the end wins?

Think of the obstacles and parkour you could put in that server. A man can dream.

Well, this can happen, the uCars plugin has features like boost blocks, road blocks, and even fuel if you want to add it! Add the peeps at buildbox to make a endless stream of maps, and you got yourself a fine game, this can also replace TNT, it seems like nobody is on it any more

Although it would be pretty damn awesome to have a Minecraft racing server, it would be too reliant on external plugins, in my opinion.

... If anything, this would be an amazing event server, which I'm sure is what most of us are thinking. If my Minecraft doesn't lag so much, I would mind some Pig Kart Racing, 100 Block Racing, and Horseback Riding.

Edit: What am I thinking? I just posted some vanilla videos of racing! We don't need no fancy shmancy plugins!
