Okay, reclarifying my first question.
I join the game and the lava is completely around the spawn. Luckily, I have some dirt, the lava is on calm, and there is floor outside.
I place dirt down to make a small 2x1 area into the lava, break the dirt, and then build behind it as well.
I can now, usually, huddle in that area and get cookies.
In some other maps, i.e, Sanctuary, I can dig down into parts of the spawn and tunnel away into the 'get-cookie' range.
...Is this allowed or not?
If you need to, I can demonstrate in game.
(Also about cookies & lava, treat lava like water - not air?)
Ah, just had an idea.
Set the blocks around the spawn as a zone. Any air and adjacent air to that which touches the spawn air is considered a spawn zone and you don't get cookies in it.
