I quickly slash the machete down the rock I had been sitting on, and rush into the jungle. A startled scream filled the air as I rushed forward. I had leaped into the undergrowth, for I had heard a shrill hiiiisssssss, and a cracking of foliage. I jumped into the small clearing adjacent to our camp to find super cornered by a large water snake. He clawed at it frantically with a tree limb. It's fangs gleamed in the mid-morning sun, and it's black-and-white stripes rippled as it slithered forward. I echoed a cry, and ran forward bringing the machete down on it's head.''<--
