Claiming names is useful for any name seeing role.
It's also easier when a name that comes that isn't what anyone has said since we can look at the names that look more suspicious at that point

If someone is lying about their name it is suspicious as well

Watcher is the one who picks someone and sees who visits that person

It's mostly because I would assume if someone's coin raised by a lot for them to be mafia, since mafia can steal coins. If you do receive their coins and let's say someone with a coin viewer ability sees you gain them, it may make people confused.

I do believe your claim though and assume you would not gain it because that means you can do your action infinite times
