All those off topic posts above show why public votes on Administration would be a bad idea. The quality of the community would plummet and I don't think the community is ready for this. Yes we have mature users, but very few are mature enough to handle effectively the role of Admin.

This I agree with, I think that the best solution would be if the current admins reviewed themselves and if they figure they don't have the motivation or passion to do things anymore, they appoint some people to replace them that have the passion and can be trusted with the fate of the community or at least tell us so we're not left hanging. Again, I don't really know what the current situation is, so if the problem isn't as big as the recent threads suggest they are, ignore my posts entirely, but the very existence of those threads seems to tell me that something is still wrong even after the reboot, therefore, something needs to be done.

Your intent is right, the rest of it's wrong. Yes, the community has a common opinion that the admin team are not suitable for running he community anymore, but your action is flawed. Just look at the shitposts in this thread. How many do you think these masses of suggestion threads will get?

Also, just because we miss a questionnaire in the staff forum thread doesn't mean it's useless, although we should have paid more attention to it. We do have discussions in there, and whilst some of it could be public, but some is staff-only. That applies to the entire forum. Would you make it public? No, because it has things pertaining to staff only in, showing the staff forum has use.

In my opinion, if we get new admins that will give us the direction we need, unless the current admins become more active, which at the moment seems unlikely. Malc and GmK trusted you guys to keep the community going, and you let them down big time.

The Server Admins have been considerably more active than myself and the other admins, and have been trying to get things done even without CA involvement - expect that to change, as I'd like to roll out some much needed changes to the community in the near future.

Which are not possible? In the thread was throwing some ideas around and they probably weren't expressed very clearly, but I would like you to elaborate there. That isn't the reason the thread is being shitposted, it's a a problem with some of the users. Either they're not mature enough to take it seriously or they don't care much about the community.

this thread is more a statement vying for attention rather than actually asking for change. Not all of the threads like this one turn out to be like this, but it's clear that this one was created to fuel a superiority complex. A proper discussion would include the whole community and not just the lower staff. No one is a hero here

I don't know what you're on about mate. I created the thread because I have been considering it over the past few weeks. I would also like you to clarify how this thread is just to gain attention and not to actually achieve anything. You're making many claims in these two posts without supporting them or elaborating upon them at all.

1. User has an idea.
2. They post their idea on the suggestions forum.
3. The poll master creates a poll of all suggestions of the month in a post with links to the threads containing the suggestions.
4. Members of the community vote for the feature they would most like to be implemented next.
5. The suggestion with the most votes gets implemented and the next 3 or 4 runners up get a second chance next month, as to not skip any great suggestions.

I suggested a long time ago that we shut down the servers and just leave a Teamspeak and forums however a lot of moderators saw that as "giving up" on the overhaul. I suggest my idea yet again.

I fully support this. It isn't giving up at this point, it's just the best option.

Even if we don't WANT to do this, we may HAVE to do this, because unless the donation meter is fucking up again, we only have $10 to our name, and only 8 days left to reach a measly $100. We've done so much more than that so much quicker. And I suppose it doesn't help that our former top donators have all but left the community due to either work-related or boredom-related circumstances.

I know it was discussed at a meeting that we have some excess from previous over-donations in stock, but those reserves will only go so far. But honestly we shouldn't be wasting this money on dead servers in the first place.

I know the issue has been dreaded for so long, and we really have kept our Play-To-Win, not Pay-To-Win status for such a long time, but I think more incentives are needed for people to donate. We have a cool little banner on the forums and the option for a profile background, just for donating the minimum, but maybe we could give a little more for higher amounts of donations?

At this stage in the life of our community this may just be me talking into the wind, and I don't really want to give up hope, but in order to resurrect ourselves we need to come together and think of something. Of course, all my suggestions may also wind up being completely pointless, but fuck it, the least we can do is try at this point. It's either try or sink farther into the ground.

On the donation point, I just don't think it's fair to the donators to pay 100 when we could drop it to 10 and still get basically the same amount of activity and usability out of the community since there's only about 12 or less people that would be effected in dropping all the minecraft servers.
(I am aware as of a few days ago that the cost is not tied to each individual server, however we could downgrade what we use to run them if we had 5? less so it still justifies the dipping donation cost)

When or if new staff are elected I would encourage them to remove the staff-only subforum.

Can't happen. There will always be matters that the regular userbase shouldn't be allowed to input on, either at that time (e.g. in-progress server ideas) or ever (e.g. how to deal with announcing the closing of a popular server). If the staff have no place to discuss e.g. in-progress server ideas without randos shitposting in the thread they'll switch to PMs. Instead of solving a problem it would just create more.

Things to note:

• I got this data from the Weekly Reports that I set Ontime to gather.
• Some names may overlap since they may be the frequent players on the server. Which is Awesome.
• Also, I couldn't make this data table look clean!

Create still gets players, it might not be enough, but it shows that the server is still active at times. Heck, you'll even see that there are players with Weekly Ontimes of less than 10mins, which is fine. They're probably there to see who's on-- but in the end at least they still know about the server.

Judging from this data though, I think there just has to be a way to retain the players for a longer amount of time. AND a way to tell some of these players about the Community Forums.

I do not agree with the candidate paceboys, I feel that he would enforce new rules and try to make use a community based on dank memes.
Not only that but he would try to get us all to play Splatoon and all I have to say to that is
