Well, not everyone knows of these currencies... But, then again, not everyone knows of certain English words...

Sure, as long as it isn't abbreviated. If others find it to be wrong, show them a link to a site proving it's a word.

Just don't use words from other languages, other than currencies. That adds more to the game, but makes it more of a 'search-for-the-word-to-see-if-they're-cheating'.
