Here we go....
Well, this is it boys and girls. The end of the beginning of the end of the wait for the beginning of the rest of my life. It's been an amazing 2 years here at Blocktopia and I debated making a thread about this, but with such an impact on my life, how couldn't I?
I came here in 2010 around July and August when it was TheOnes. The first server that I played on was Zombie and I was instantly hooked. I wasn't very good, but that didn't matter. Zombie was my love and I played it until it was 4 AM. Then once I heard that there were other TheOnes servers I knew that I had to try them out.
This is when I got hooked for the second time. This time, it was Lava....then I got banned. I didn't know how to play, said whatever and went back to playing zombie. Eventually I felt I may be ready for trusted so I decided to appeal for an unban at lava. Then I wrote up a fairly bad application and was denied.
After slowly getting bored of zombie I decided to look around and found a handy little server called Build. Needless to say, I knew this was where I was going to be for a while. After playing around for a while I decided to make a trailer for Build and I thought it was the sweetest thing ever. It was pretty bad.
Anyways, fast forward to December and I'm loving it. I'm not great friends with the legendary boredchicka and things are going great. Advanced Builder was pretty much the equivalent of Trusted back then. I applied and was accepted. After roughly 2 weeks I was promoted on December 24th, this is where everything got started.
Over the next few months I would go on the get Zombie Trusted, Zombie Op, TnT Trusted, and TnT Op. There was a short period of time when I was Op on Zombie, TNT and Build. These were the good days, I think back to these and think about how great of a time I had.
Everything after this is just a blur, so many rank changes at one point I got Zombie VetOp, a position I held from September 2011 to February 2012. I've been at least a Trusted+ for 1 year, 9 months and 2 weeks straight, and now it's time to end that streak.
I want to thank every single member of the Blocktopia for making this time so damn memorable, being here has taught me many things and I don't think that I'd take back a minute that I've spent here.
I was going to make a huge list of shout-outs to people that have made this experience the greatest but there are too many of you! I'm going to try my best anyways.
I've got to start with boredchicka, I don't think that you will see this but I think that you are the reason that I played so much on Build. Thanks for being a great friend to me and you always will be the #1 on my list of friends from here.
Then there's AvantGarde, I'll keep it short and simple. Late nights playing with you were awesome, just because I'm leaving doesn't mean we can't still do that. :)
Next is the sexiest man alive himself, KingSam. I have so many great memories with you, on TNT, TF2 and just chatting about. Thanks for being a great friend.
Well I would've thought of more, but it's 12 AM and I really feel like sleeping. There are so many people here that I've had such a great time with over the past two years that 3 shoutouts doesn't do it justice. Just know that if we've shared a laugh, or spoke a lot, I probably consider you a friend.
