Meanwhile in the world of I used the wrong image for #1 I showed to you all(it changed in the pm because Inf thinks <> are hands which is completely unrelated but blame inf, and I had the old one saved not the new one and I accidentally used the old one). It's the same really, except there is an extra sentence inbetween. I bolded the new part in #1.

ANYWAYS decrypted message shenanigans outside, since nobody seems to be answering anything about The Devil I guess I'll do it.

I was visited by the devil tonight. This devil wanted to make a deal with me. Either I lose my soul and keep my ability, or I keep my soul and lose my ability. If I were to choose to lose my soul but keep my ability, there is another negative consequence which I am not allowed to talk about. Naturally I chose to keep my soul and thus I have actually lost my ability. My claim was *technically* false since I am now a Vanilla Towny and not a scribe anymore. Though it says that once the devil dies, I'll get my ability back.

Then after the devil visited me, I had another visitor(it seems implied that this is unrelated to the devil). This person roleblocked me, and gave me a tattoo. I don't know what the tattoo is since appearently it has turned invisible. I don't really know what this disappearing tattoo is, but I think Ender might have been the one who could heal me or something.

Anyone know anything about these two things? Im speculating the devil might be able to visit more than one person during the night which is why I asked in the first place.

I feel like the person who blocked notty was not the same person who blocked vino?
It sounds like the drunk man revealing his name is a part of his role, and it could be possible he has no choice in whether he can or cannot use his role.

This is all speculation but it makes sense to me.

Notty wasn't role blocked? She gave up her role to keep her soul if I am reading correctly...but do I believe Notty... or maybe she is the Devil and they gave the soul and if they do that they arent allowed to speak out therefore Notty is playing us all?!

It's pretty confusing, but yes I gave up my role to keep my soul which meant I lost my ability.

Then after that as a seperate event I got a tattoo that dissappeared by someone. This tattoo person giving me my tattoo also roleblocked me. Also it feels like there are only 5 people playing this game.

Alright, we need to find someone to lynch and the meaning of the translations. I would consider Unu as the most suspicious (and totally not because hes my bro). However at the moment, I feel like I/we shouldn't lynch someone from so little proif.


Also it would be nice if everyone would say their opinion on who could be alien.

todays events kind of went in a direction I wasn't really sure how to respond to xD. I've been following the thread, but I apologize I was not sure what to post. this decoding thing is huge, but it doesn't 100% discount the notty janitor theory, so I feel that it is important to keep a healthy skepticim. (what if there is a Janitor role that can choose what death message they wanted to add?). I do not mean to suggest notty is lying. This is very possibly truth, but I do think healthy skepticism is important, especially since Notty has claimed to have lost their role immediately after claiming it. I find that could easily be a way to insert mafia lies.

Nottykitten What would have happened if you had given your soul to keep your role. I'm not sure what this is supposed to mean? Does it mean you would've switched to another role condition like mafia or third party?

Notties point is spot on that there are only 5 active players taking here, and while I know I haven't been helping I would like to call out the other lurkers in this thread.

Unusual_Dood I see you've also made 2 posts on this day, but neither of those contributed a lot to this game.

Seems useful. I'm not sure if all night deaths are encrypted in this fashion, but if so it's good to have a way to translate it. If things are as they look then We've lost our doctor, so all town power roles would need to be careful from here on.

How do you think we can best use this to the benefit of this town?

Knowing the role of the person who died is always helpful. It seems the doctor is dead, so town power roles must be careful from this point on. (that's not to say claiming is bad if it gives town info. Getting info is very important.

Do you believe Notty's claim? why/why not?

Like I said earlier it's best to keep a healthy skepticism. Notty strikes me as a pretty independent player who often plays their own strategies individually, so even when she's town I'm not sure she's honest.

Who is your biggest FOS right now? why?
I have to agree with Notty. Unusal is pretty suspicious. He's contributed very little to the game and it could be interpreted that he was telling power roles not to use their night actions, but I think he ties out with oak who hasn't made a post in this day.
Second biggest FOS? why?
I'm going to go out and say Ooglie101. He has made one post this day and it wasn't even slightly useful this day

It is odd to me that their would be two roleblockers in this game, but it's completely possible, especially if it's an important game mechanic.

I don't understand this yet. I'm hoping for some more clarity from Notty. She seems to me like the type of player who would rather keep her action, so this is confusing to me.

I wouldn't of changed alignments, but there was a consequence to giving my soul that I was told I'm not allowed to discuss. It was pretty severe which is why I decided to keep my soul.

Maybe people will get a hallucination/dream during the night and gain knowledge on the aliens?

Uhm sleeping is the best way to get dreams so I assume they'll just naturally occur during the night and we might hear about it from someone tomorrow?

Not at all, honestly Notty's pretty fishy... Notty could of just made up these symbols, made them show up on Enders death message and now claim to be some sort of translator role. Then Notty just conveniently cracks the supposted 'messages' and expects us to believe that Inf wouldn't of encrypted this stuff better. Yeah right Notty made up this entire alien language I'm having none of this nonsense.

I guess it's easely possible that there are two roleblocker roles. The tattoo one is probably Mafia I guess.

Since the scribe ability didn't seem that important once I had already decrypted 2 of the messages. And the consequence for giving my soul away was something I'd rather not have. My role did seem to be more important once we saw that death messages get encrypted aswell(or maybe it's just this once idk), but I guess we don't need my role if we can decrypt it manually.

I've been wanting to claim for a while now but I never got the opportunity to do so, but since activity is a problem here and not claiming only serves to compromise my ability to share my opinions, I'll just go ahead and claim my role.

I am the dog. What I have to do as part of my role is to include "bark" or "woof" into every single post I make, either directly or indirectly by quoting myself. I could've been just a regular townie, but Inffy decided that he'd like to have some fun and so I've become his comic relief (screw you Infected_alien8_). By right I'm supposed to hide it in every post, but now that I've thought about it there's no point in hiding, so I'll be appending "bark" to the end of every post I make unless I happen to use words like "embark".

What do you make of this decryption?
Something that I noticed in the encrypted texts that Notty posted was that the "alien" alphabet that was used in the images were aligned very consistently, including the kerning and line spacing, which meant that whoever made those encryptions typed them out. I compared this to Notty's own encrypted language, which had differing glyph sizes and stroke widths, which was constructed as an image, which means that Notty probably didn't make the weird texts, our hosts did.

As for the text itself, I'll do a detailed analysis on it soon.

I doubt that they're lying, though it certainly feels like those things don't really have anything to do with the theme of the game. Then again, nor does Ender's Slavic name.

Selling your soul to the devil is never a good idea. But, it is entirely possible that notty chose one option and said that she went with the other, but I honestly doubt that.
