being quiet=mafia
That argument is crap.
Anyways I will listen to what Defiant has to say.
Dessern5 I didn't say that quiet people were the mafia.
It's a possibility, and I want to hear from those people.
Strange how you would quickly dismiss a statement that was never made...
You already said it yourself: It IS a possibility.
BUT, so is everyone else in this game, whether talkative, not talkative, aggressive, passive, leading player, players watching from the sidelines, and essentially every other classification that a player can be in this game.
Anyone can be a possibility, as we do not know, and will not know, anyone's roles initially until they either
1) Die, and it is revealed through the story
2) You are a Cop or Contact Role
3) You are one of the above 2 roles and decide to share a persons role in this thread
This has been an issue I've been seeing a lot in Mafia seasons as of late, and really, I find this kind of argument absolutely terrible and not useful because of that fact in which that ANYONE can be mafia, and ANYONE can be ANY role in the game.
It IS a fairly bad argument, I agree.
We've already had long discussions on this topic, as well as the "Skillful players not dead = Mafia" and other such arguments that really essentially don't assist to the actual game, because you know what?:
ANYTHING is really a possibility in this game.
You CAN'T just choose a specific demographic to be a lynching-tool based on their style of play, or the like.
Remember Jolt in Mafia Lite Season 3, the one previous to this game?
Jolt's always been a quite person, and honestly I don't entirely hold it against him.
He was lynched because he is normally a quite person, and thus, apparently automatically defuncts him as a useful player worthy of being lynched, Mafia or not.
That's just... so unsportsmanlike.
I've been an advocate for stopping with those kinds of arguments for some Seasons now, because they really aren't all that useful. Can we please possibly using these kinds of arguments in our discussions when they don't have any tangible (though sometimes speculative) evidence to back up said claim? That would be great.
Anyways... Has no one really wondered that much about this?:
Please excuse my low level of participation. I have quite a lot on my plate right now IRL. This weekend I should be able to catch up~
I'd like to retract my vote and vote to lynch Hockeyfan1852. I will explain my reasoning tomorrow, but I'd like to just rest my vote on Hockeyfan for now.
Hockeyfan1852 is mafia. I am very certain of it at this moment.
This is your big explanation are you sure your not trying to get me out quick or something you can't even think of a good reason why I could be a mafia.
No, I'm not suspicious of Defiant because of this but...
And yes, he could just need a bit more time to explain his reasoning if he's busy...
Yet, why would you not just wait and say you'll need a bit more time to explain instead of merely saying "X person is Mafia?"
I doesn't really help unless explanation is given. I would've rather have waited for the actual explanation then that.
Plus, why Hockey? I know he quickly jumped on digi, but so did storm, and Notty was the source of the strong aggressive push on Digi in the first place. Yes, Notty kind of can be justified as a lapse in judgement or something like that (I still can't entirely think of a phrasing or reason why Notty argued about digi), yet both storm and hockey kind of jumped on digi without entirely explaining their reasoning.
Personally, should not all 3 remain suspicious because of it? Why just Hockey?
I still want to see why Defiant thinks this.
Besides this...
We essentially have a few suspects we currently have on the table:
1) Digi (for possible Serial Killer Affiliation, may be Town or Mafia Roles saved by Doctor, doctor herself)
2) Notty (Extreme aggression on digi with flawed arguments)
3) Storm & Hockey (Agreeing to Notty quickly and short of reasoning)
I could say Defiant is suspicious, however it is obvious that he merely needs additional time to explain himself and thus does not deserve suspicion because of that.
I went back through the thread and was reading various posts, saw this:
I don't have any questions
JKangaroo, I only like to do them to spark discussions. (btw being called Aloha again makes me want to log into zombie asap)
Nottykitten taking back what was said about digitalmez AFTER a few votes were cast makes me think this is a case of backtracking to avoid suspicion, after the mistake had already been made.
Possible scenario.
...
...
I don't quite know what to actually say right now.
If we could get a question or idea to spur some discussion again, that would be good.
I think the thread kind of took a hit because of the news about Classic, though understandable, not certain if that is true about the slow pace these few days. >.<
