As well, it has other pros, such as the slanted touch screen so that it can be comfortably placed on a table top.

• Economic, only $130 compared to $180+
• Durable, unable to easily snap on the hinge, making it safer for younger audiences to use
• Slanted, allowing for easier table-top play
• More comfortable to hold, according to some views
• Better battery-life than 3DS

Cons:

• No clam-shell design, so screens may scratch easier with travel (solved with carrying case)
• No 3D viewing
• Lower battery-life than 3DS XL
• Less travel-friendly

I know I can't play the 3DS for long periods of times cause it gives me a headache. Many people also have issues with the 3D effect but want to play in 2D. This offers a cheaper, better system for people like that

I fully agree - obviously the target demographic isn't hardcore gamers. Nintendo isn't the one in the big three that likes to cater to the high-paying market... which will lead to a gradual loss in market share as the kids gaming market becomes less profitable, especially when specializing in only that market.
