Superchops In my opinion, there's metal for everybody.

I think you'd enjoy this, a prog. metal concept album Mercy Falls by Seventh Wonder. It tells the story of a man who is involved in a car crash and goes into a comatose state. While in his coma, he dreams of a mystical place called Mercy Falls. Arguably the most beautiful metal album of all time. I got close to tears at the musical perfection.

This thread needs a dash of Classical music.

This is my favorite tune from Moon, which is an amazing and thought-provoking movie. The score is by Clint Mansell who also scored other music such as Lux Aeterna from Requiem for a Dream and Xilbala from The Fountain.


The cannons. This was a fun song to play when I was in an orchestra, although I think I missed half of the notes during our concert.

This song is utter genius. The whole album before it is so tense, so harsh, and then this song comes right at the end and releases all of that tension slowly and perfectly. It's stuff like this that makes me listen to music in the first place.
