>>>>Wow this took me a long time to complete, over a month. xD Literally had no time to complete these in a timely matter. Life always getting in the way of anime.
>>>>Story is brought to life with the introduction of Squid Girl who has come out of the sea to conquer the mainland, but unfortunately runs into trouble at a shop on the beach. Having destroyed a wall at the shop the shop owners capture her and put her to work at the sea side restaurant to pay off the damages done to the wall. Though she has been put in her place by the family who owns the restaurant Squid Girl still has the want to conquer the mainland in any way possible though she forgets to do so on a continuous basis.
>>>>The anime is very good with a multitude of colorful and unique characters that would leave an impression on you. The flexible amount of characters gives the show a very interesting plot when the characters get together on each of their episodes. The show itself is structured into 3 mini-episodes that split up the story and seems to have small continuation from the previous into the next. The cuteness is second to the comedy and helps to strengthen the fact that Squid Girl is not a good invader with more powers to perform normal tasks than to actually conquer with. One character that leaves an impression on me is Chizuru who, like the fairies from "Humanity has Declined", is really scary with moments that left a chill running down my spine.
>>>>The 1st opening and 2nd ending were my favorites with the 2nd opening growing on me as time progressed through the second season. Only thing I personally disliked was the many "embarrassing moments" that leave me just blushing with embarrassment myself and pausing to take a breather (I get embarrassed from doing, seeing, or imagining others doing embarrassing things). This anime has also taught me that i don't like mini-episode styled animes and personally preferring full episodes rather than the 3 small breaks between each skit.
>>>>If you like comedy, cuteness, and mini-episode styled shows then Squid Girl may be the anime for you. It was for me and I hope you will enjoy it.
Opening 1:
Chizuru:
Such a hard decision to decide what to watch next. Since I have had a month to think about it I will probably watch:
"Toaru Majutsu no Index"
[Action Magic Sci-Fi Superpower] (24 episodes both seasons)
and its spin-off (Is it a spin off?):
[Action Sci-fi Fantasy Superpower] (24 episodes both seasons)
Both seasons of both shows with probably index first. Oh gee, 96 episodes will be fun. xD
Darker Than Black is a really cool show, it's about sacrifice and remembering the past. Code Geass I enjoyed more, it focuses on the hardships of imperialism and the struggle for freedom. Both shows deal with the question of what defines good and evil.
DTB is more sci-fi whereas Code Geass is more mecha.
Darker than Black is one of my all time favourites, it has an amazing soundtrack and amazing actions, you should totally watch that (one of my favourite soundtrack).
As for code geass, I was never a mecha fan, but enjoyed it nonetheless. A little boring at some mecha parts though.
Just finished Darker than Black. It was ok. My friend overhyped it a little so I had high expectations that were not met. Ohwell. Looking for a good completed action anime.
