>>>>Finished "Super Sonico the Animation" and by gosh it was the most relaxing piece of anime I have ever seen. I didn't like it in the beginning, but once I got into it, it became a cute theraputic anime. Now I must warn you there really isn't any large over arching plot. It is mostly the main character doing what she wants with her large supporting cast which actually made the show interesting along with the episodes. It doesn't soley focus on Sonico, but gives a large attention to the people around her also and makes it a very rounded, excellently paced, and well thought out show for a game-to-anime adaptation. Would love a second season of this.

>>>>Currently watching "Space Dandy". A show that actually came out with the dub first then the sub.

So I once promised I would make a big post on Magi when it was finished
I'm not actually going to do that.
However I still feel like its vitally important to probably each human being on this planet to watch, so I'll leave you with this back and forth I had on it with Tuna

<17:41:31> "Jayfeather211": I'm not sure how long it took me to exactly realize
<17:41:42> "Jayfeather211": when it was that I stopped watching magi for adventure and magic
<17:42:21> "Jayfeather211": and continue watching it because I had adopted aladdin's viewpoint
<17:42:40> "Jayfeather211": If I am totally honest I would probably say Magi changed my life one way or another
<17:42:48> "Jayfeather211": and I dunno I find myself thinking about it quite a lot
<17:42:56> "Jayfeather211": I was curious what other peopel got out of it
<17:43:00> "Jayfeather211": because I'm pretty damn sure
<17:43:04> "Jayfeather211": almost no one else cuaght it
<17:43:13> "Jayfeather211": or is watching this series for what I almost consider the "right reason"
<17:43:24> "[Tuna] Tuna": mhm
<17:43:35> "[Tuna] Tuna": in the second season there was a huge shift to moral issues and character
<17:43:44> "[Tuna] Tuna": which ended up being the driving force of the show
<17:43:46> "[Tuna] Tuna": at least, I think
<17:43:53> "[Tuna] Tuna": its not so simple as good vs evil
<17:43:56> "[Tuna] Tuna": or right from wrong
<17:44:03> "[Tuna] Tuna": but compassion and kindness to others
<17:44:10> "[Tuna] Tuna": even if they shouldnt rigtly deserve it
<17:44:20> "[Tuna] Tuna": even if you've been wronged over and over like moghamet
<17:44:45> "Jayfeather211": Not even that - Moral issue were rampant in Magi from the very beginning. But here's the difference: They were thinly veiled. Light vs. Dark was a big concept in season 1, and that was later explained to be "the way moving forwards to meet your challenges" or "to be destructive in escaping a fate you don't want"
<17:44:49> "Jayfeather211": It was also more black and white
<17:44:56> "Jayfeather211": magi season 2 you almost side with Mogamett
<17:45:03> "Jayfeather211": and that's because its becoming more real
<17:45:03> "[Tuna] Tuna": mhm
<17:45:11> "Jayfeather211": based in a significant amount of reality

<17:47:00> "[Tuna] Tuna": pride and emotions play a huge role into how we act towards others
<17:47:15> "[Tuna] Tuna": what magi did amazingly well
<17:47:22> "[Tuna] Tuna": was give us an objective viewpoint via alladin
<17:47:30> "[Tuna] Tuna": and a whole host of flawed characters
<17:47:40> "[Tuna] Tuna": the villians of the show are solidly evil
<17:47:47> "[Tuna] Tuna": so you don't even consider them really
<17:47:51> "[Tuna] Tuna": as an analogy to humanity
<17:47:56> "[Tuna] Tuna": where I thought it strived though
<17:48:02> "[Tuna] Tuna": was in its characters from everywhere else
<17:48:13> "[Tuna] Tuna": if alladin serves as a moral guide for the rest of the show
<17:48:26> "[Tuna] Tuna": how do we side with him when mogameht (how do you spell his name >_>
<17:48:28> "[Tuna] Tuna": )
<17:48:33> "[Tuna] Tuna": explains his story
<17:48:40> "[Tuna] Tuna": it gives us the perspective of so many characters
<17:48:46> "[Tuna] Tuna": and what they believed or believe in
<17:48:51> "[Tuna] Tuna": and how that was influenced by others
<17:49:07> "[Tuna] Tuna": and it provides a very human
<17:49:08> "[Tuna] Tuna": like
<17:49:14> "[Tuna] Tuna": a very realistic emotional draw
Magi is not the subpar magic simulator you might be assuming it is. It is the most important work in all of anime and probably the most important work of anything I've ever seen

I just finished watching watching Strike the Blood and Hataraku Maou-Sama! within a few days.

hataraku maou sama so good
Strike the blood is just meh, but I would say as an anime to pass off time it fairs fairly well, really straight-forward and while I'm not a big fan of ecchi, I would say they really mixed the ecchi elements in really well.

Finished Durarara!! and Durarara!! Specials. I liked it a lot. I can't wait until season 2.

Now to decide what to watch next. Have a fair number on my list to watch.
MAGI if you haven't watched it already.

Seriously it's really good

EDIT: Wait you liked Durarara, then there's 2 anime you should watch if you really liked it.

The first one is Baccano! it is very similar to Durarara since it's about a bunch of stories of different characters happening at once and they end up connecting with each other at some point of the anime. VERY VERY similar.
(13 episodes Action, Comedy, Historical, Supernatural, Seinen)

The Second anime would be K. Can't say much about this but the atmosphere is apparently very similar.
(13 episodes Action, Mystery, Super Power)

Note: I haven't watched Durarara! or Baccano yet because I still haven't taken the time to watch them. These are recommendations from a friend. I've seen K though.

Edit2: On a side note currently watching Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (finally) SO GEWD C:
(64 episodes Action, Adventure, Drama, Fantasy, Magic, Shounen, Military)

Probably going to watch the movie after I finish with the series.

Wanted to save the Brotherhood for another time during this summer but I'm sick of watch all these low tier anime while waiting for the 12-13 episode anime to end this season.

Finished "Non Non Biyori"
>>>>I thought it was going to be a drama filled Slice of Life, but it was a plain slice of life where mostly the new features being they are in the country and the school consists of only 5 students. Extremely boring in my opinion. If I could give it anything the soundtrack and animation is soothing when only it decides to be played and shown, but when the characters come in it breaks up the entire set piece and feels like children drawing all over your project about nature by playing annoying music along with it.

Finished "Black Lagoon"
>>>>Such an epic show and got me out of my "bored slump" Non Non Biyori left me in. Nice dark and edgy show that the art really felt perfect for the theme. It also felt like a war movie in some ways from the awesome opening and the war tunes being played on the ending themes. Is a must watch for anyone who hasn't seen it. :D

Watching "Shikabane Hime"

Two seasons (Aka and Kuro) (25 episodes total) [Action Horror Martial Arts]
>>>>In the first few episodes and it is alright, but I feel the main character's voice acting could be better since I don't feel the emotion is in his voice when he speaks. Maybe they are trying to get me to project myself onto the character, but he seems a bit too calm about everything. The show then throws in some comedy bits that feel out of place with the type of theme that is presented as dark and horrorific.

Finished Steins;Gate (+ OVA & movie) and Angel Beats! over the course of the last week. Both are extremely well written and deal with very different but also very similar topics. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting some emotional roller-coasters. Next up: Clannad (+ After Story) and Cowboy Bebop (classic which I never got around to watching!)

Just finished Nisekoi, I liked a lot.

Now to find another Comedy anime to watch.
I finished it as well, it was awesome xD. If you want to find another comedy that has a actual ending I would go for Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru
(Genres: Comedy, Romance, School, Harem)

The similarities to Nisekoi would be the fake love part and the fact that it is drawn really well. You should give it a shot its only 13 episodes.
