oh no oh no
Why the oh no? :<

Do you dislike tsundere or something? :p
It took me a really long time, but I can finally put into words why I hate toradora and MOST ESPECIALLY Monogatari. I have a really hard time with animes where the characters can't act like rational people.
Good: In Attack on Titan, Eren's mom dies in the first episode which prompts him to basically become this really angry guy with an oath. Perfect. That's what I would do.
Bad: In toradora, this girl thinks that the main character read her love letter, so naturally she goes to his house in the middle of the night and tries to kill him. An example from Monogatari is when the main character doesn't want his sister to go meet a psychic in a back alley she tries to kill him.
I've only watched a few episodes of Attack on Titan. If you want to find someone who watched all the episodes, go look in my Steam Friends list and find Blujay, he watched all the episodes of Attack of Titan. Not to mention, he also has the soundtrack of Attack on Titan.

Everyone acts differently, and has a different sense of "rational," you know. :p

I don't look into details like that, though. I watch animes that involve androids in Japan.

>>>>I actually think Eren is pretty irrational due to his blood oath (almost to a fault). He has become more rational as the series progressed, but in the beginning the second he saw a titan he would lose all sense of control and dive head first into battle screaming an Indian war chant as he dives head first into titans.
>>>>Though Taiga did act irrationally to Ryuuji regarding the letter, I can say the way she has acted can be seen as understandable. She herself has placed up a strong defense against letting others see her feelings. Being safe for all these years behind her emotional and physical barrier (physical being she is a "bully") the act of anyone finding out her weakness can cause a great amount of stress for her. Love is a dangerous thing that leaves you open to be hurt no matter how tough or weak you are.
[Warning Warning spoiler alert. spoiler alert]
She herself has witnessed the horrible pains of letting her love be unrecognized by another (ie her father). I forget which episode, but she then experiences the same pains of waiting for her father to see her stage performance only to find him breaking his promise. Right after her realization that her love was not recognized by her father she lashed out and destroyed her dress and yelling out to the crowd to see if they wanted more. She was ashamed and embarrassed to let others see her weaker side and fell back into the usual bully attitude quickly to drown out any attempts to change.
Being left inside a fortress left her without any way to properly interact with other people. She has played the bully for so long that it has become her, and she jumped to the conclusion to eliminate the threat that will realize that the strong castle she has built is held up by nothing more than plywood. As I started writing this last paragraph, in a way, we could say that her room is a metaphor for her own life. She was given everything by her father (especially that room), but she was left to live in it alone and unkempt due to limited human interaction. Ryuuji found the letter and found easy access into her "fortress of solitude" through the window. He then decides on impulse to clean up her apartment and it begins to become more lively in both apartments as they let each other in not realizing they were perfect for each other until Ryuuji attempted to leave. (take what you will of this I am giving so many bloody spoilers for this show >.<). Pretty amazing if you ask me, but that could just be my thinking cap on too tight :p TL;DR: Somewhat irrational, but understandable due to her past leading her to the elimination of her emotions.
>>>>Which Monogatari was it? I am taking a swing that it was Nisemonogatari since "sisters" can only mean the Fire Sisters, Arararararagi's sisters, which only showed up in Nisemonogatari and on. And I am guessing the beating scene is from the Karen Bee arc where she tries to attain revenge against the man who hurt all of the children at her school through her strong sense of justice. When she tries to head off to beat him up, Arararagi attempts to stop her knowing that the "psychic", Kaiki, is the same person who hurt his girlfriend years ago and knows Karen won't be able to stop him and may actually get hurt (Spoiler: which she does). Her strong sense of justice though propels her forward through any obstacle to attain this misguided right that it is her duty to deal out justice to Kaiki. This is another one that seems irrational, but turns out to be understandable and somewhat rational in the same sense why a cop not arrest the man who has done the crime, why would you try to protect someone who has done others wrong. It does provide some social problems and takes a look into maybe the difficulty of being a defense attorney, where they have to defend their client even when they know they are without a doubt guilty.
>>>>Hopefully this made sense and I didn't ramble too much for no reason. I do think they act more rationally then you give them credit for. :3

Yes but
  • Love letter
  • Dead ma'
Sure thing Eren's making mistakes, but he's making all the one's a human being would.
Like, I don't give a shit about Taiga's emotional barriers she tried to kill a guy because he read her love letter [if she didn't take a sword with her and actually try to drive it into his skull then the bullying father thing stands 100 percent, but she attempted cold blooded killing, not vandalism or some sort of beatdown]
TRIED TO KILL A GUY BECAUSE HE READ HER LOVE LETTER
THERE'S NO DEFENDING THAT
ITS INSANE
(I mean if she was actually an insane character then sure go ahead. In Mirai Nikki Yuno is certifiably insane, and that is understood)

Just finished Sunday Without God, I felt the anime was extremely rushed. If it were a 24-26 episode anime series instead of 12 it would have gave them much more time for the story development. The ending was a tear jerker but they completely ruined the end cause they tried no matter what to have a "happy ending". Oh well it was OK.

Watching Aquarion Evol, to those who are intrested in it I would recommend to watch 12 episodes of the prequel Sousei no aquarion before watching Evol. 26 episodes for each of them. I said to watch only 12 episodes of the prequel because it is pretty painful to watch so the 12 episodes is only to know the characters/context that will be discussed in the sequel.

This one's for some of you here, I'm pretty sure you will be overjoyed when you hear this piece of news.

BLACK BUTLER SEASON 3 IS UNDERWAY \o/

Nope, it isn't one of those fan-made news, this time it's officially confirmed by several legit anime news sources. Hopefully the anime will pick up where it left off in the manga because honestly I wasn't too big a fan of what they did to Ciel in Season 2.

All Hail Kiryuin Satsuki!

Fear is freedom! Control is release! Contradiction is truth! That is the reality of this world! Listen well, you pigs in human clothing, and submit to that reality!
Kill la Kill is rapping up and becoming so epic the closer it gets to the end. :D

Dudes "Kill La Kill" is so good. It took it to another level this past month and I can't wait for the finale. Thursdays cannot come fast enough for the newest episodes. D:

Completed "Hyperdimension Neptunia"
>>>>Too much "desu-desu" high pitched girls for my enjoyment. I believe there was only 1 "guy" in the entire anime, but he had a stereotypical "gay" voice that didn't bring a good amount of change to the voices. No truly underlying theme where it felt like "girls doing stuff" the entire time. Took me a month to finish it.
Completed "FLCL" aka "Fooly Cooly"
>>>>I can see where people are drawing the conclusion of "Kill La Kill" as a combination of "TTGL" and FLCL with the bouncing off the walls (literally and figuratively) comedy that still drives the story through the extreme cartoonish styling of the show.
Watching "Guilty Crown"

[Action Drama Sci-Fi SuperPower] (22 episodes)
