My hypothesis about attitudes vs roles wasn't about in general.
I meant in respect to amnesia.
Because my amnesia took into account my personality. So I'm thinking it affected others. And honestly I'm not sure if I'm being too direct right now anyways.
My hypothesis holds true only if my amnesia is like everyone else's.

Also, I didn't "hide" my amnesia.
I just didn't even think about it as "amnesia" until later in the game, and when I did realize what Alpha meant by amnesia I didn't want to talk about it because I figured it'd kinda sorta be rule breaking. But now I realize that it can act as an aid in determining Mafia, with caution to avoid rule breaking.

Also, Hunter27a1 , if you do believe Notty is bomb or granny, why do you keep announcing it to everyone???
If Notty is bomb/granny, then isn't it in your best interest to perhaps NOT try to out their role?

Fair enough, with the gray area for mechanics. I still have a hunch on you so I'm keeping my vote for now. Now that you point out what Hunter just did I'm close to switching it.

I agree with the aid part, depending on what people like being more.

Speaking of Ooglie101, are you the Bellboy again? I'd like to hear more from you. :3
Darn! How did you see through disguise?
Other than that, today has been an eventful Day 0/1 than usual and it's nice to see people finally seeing the appeal of lynching ;-; I don't feel too strongly to any of the main candidates for lynching (Hunter, Alpha, Defiant?, Notty?)

Hunter plays very straight to the point, rather aggressive, commanding which can be scummy but can also be just trying to help the town. To me it just looks like Hunter's normal playstyle although the only games I've seen him in was where he was a third party or Mafia soo I don't know. I feel like he's following a normal game-style (epicmafia-esque) even though TBD is 'different'. Seems to jump from point to point occasionally. A bit scummy, but hard to tell.

Alpha is a bit different this game and seemed to fall under Hunter's and Defiant's clutches at the beginning easily even though I know him to be a very strong player which is a bit unusual but third parties aren't necessary to lynch straight away, especially if Alien (although it seems like a lie, 1 probe and claiming so easily) Seems like a decent candidate but doesn't look like the number 1 option.

Defiant seems to be quite similar to Hunter but plays more following the idea of TBD rather than epicmafia and stuff and a bit less aggressive. Possibly teaming with Hunter but possibly not. Bit hard to scumtell for me atm since not much experience within games with him, but doesn't seem like the best one right now.

Notty, I'm pretty certain, is being sarcastic and Hercules is something they just made up and everyone is making too much of a fuss over it x3 But then it could be a bluff, or a double bluff, or a triple bluff (and the loop continues)

Out of all of the 4 I'd have to say Hunter but I'm not sure if it's lynch-worthy ;-; The hardships of Day 0/1 lynching, but the benefits too :c

Well to be fair I wasn't against the town for the longest time. Only about half of the game in I turned Assasin =3
Immediately after leading a lynch on your future comrade! Clearly notty cannot be trusted after killing her own teammate we should policy lynch.

/end rant.

It's funny because I figured out you were the one we needed to recruit while you were getting me lynched.

In seriousness though I don't know what to think. It seriously bothers me that hunters play style is to cause chaos to gain information and he, instead of gradually toning it down, jumps straight into a 'let's end the day' mood rather than continuing a more subtle hint for informatiom . he's directly contradicting his playstyle now and makes me think he found whatever he was looking for.

You cry all you want about previous games, but in this one, I shall dominate you all! Mwahahahaha!

(In case of confusion, yes, this is a joke, thank you very much.)

Defiant does bring up a good point about Hunter though. I don't know what to think of him any more, in the back of my mind I'll always have the nagging feeling that maybe he's just a townie that plays in a sort of a Chaotic Good way, but logic seems to favour his opposition at the moment.

It looks like what I looked like in hectic Hawaii, except mine was unrelated to my role. The assumption was that I had an exciting role I couldn't wait to use.
Vote count please?

Alpha102 the redacted post just had a brief query to other players as to their setup mechanics, as well as containing some information of my own under the presumption that it was legal due to lack of direct quote. It wouldn't have helped deduce roles, either so it didn't ding as swingy information

since I'm now in the spotlight of the bloodthirsty mob once I can get on a computer ill make you all a nice notsmall post

Alpha102 is it that hard to believe like minded players don't exist in this game? Earlier I had to delete an entire post I had typed before submitting it because you had just posted the same argument. We're reaching a point where I feel like I can't express my thoughts because you might have a similar opinion.

As far as defending you, I've no clue what you're alignment is and I'm not pretending I think I do. I feel certain you're lying about the alien claim because it's a bit too convenient. That said, it doesn't automatically make you non-town it's like hunter posted above. There's a history of people not even questioning third party claims yet town claims are automatically suspect, I think they are right in that we should be suspicious of your claim, but the reason I've been defending you is because as far as I'm concerned you could be anything which gives you the odds of a random lynch. I'd much rather take out someone who has a higher chance of being mafia than a random lynch.

I think you and I have similar playstyles at times and I can see why this makes you suspicious of me. In the last game I played with you, bloody masquerade, I was part of a secret mafia team and I agreed with you often ( well, I really was just trying not to bring attention to myself) and you correctly suspected me for that most of the game. Though, I really don't see how it's fair that I can't express my own thoughts or opinions out of fear it will be similar to yours.

myusername22: Of course like-minded players can exist. However it is worth pointing out repeatedly, since if I don't then it seriously looks like we're teaming up. My suspicion of you is not on the level of the Masquerade, I think there are people(Defiant, Hunter, Jivvi) that are more suspicious than you.

And that's fine to not believe me, and I absolutely should be questioned. One thing I'm starting to get worried about is my third-party-ness dominating the entire day when there are other routes to explore, as much as I love talking about myself. :p
-
Jivvi: I don't think you're in the spotlight anymore, I'm the only one with any reasons against you and everyone else is kind of doing their own thing x). But a longish post explaining what you're doing is still appreciated.
-
Endersteve: Hunter being Chaotic Good doesn't necessarily make me feel better about the current situation though.
-
To Everyone: Even if I get killed during the night or even lynched, I think I've contributed a huge amount to this game already. Just please don't forget any of this later in the game when a lot of the people who talked today are dead and the evidence here can be used. The earlier days always seem to have that happen >.<

Consistently pointing out that you're not trying to buddy someone comes off as buddying a bit, by the way.
To be honest, the last post was more intended for alpha than it was for everyone in the game. It wasn't so much as a 'omg i'm not teaming with you' as it was a ' dude this is getting ridiculous you shouldn't accuse me EVERY TIME we have a similar thought or idea.
Also, so what am I supposed to do? Say okay yes I'm a mafia trying to team up with you despite the fact I'm town?

Kind of like how anyone trying to argue against their own lynch is mafia? I could believe scum might panic more, but anyone trying to get lynched is either a fool or playing against their win condition.

I'll understand and accept I'm suspicious for this. However, at the end of the day I need to be able to express my ideas if you want me to be active/ contributing with this thread.

Well there were some misunderstandings about my claim being sarcastic or not. So I guess I came to say it's all true. Myuser can even Lie detect me for it even though thats probabily not his role.
People are already confused enough :(. Please, stop suggesting I'm a lie detector. I've already stated that's not my role and hunters going to have a field day saying "omg guise he's trying to setup for a lie-detector claim."

It currently seems that the conversation is dying down from what it was (now that hunter has miraculously decided to no-lynch). Now is the time we should start looking for and calling out lurkers. (but not quite lynching them yet) I'll start with some tags of people I haven't seen speak their mind much and a few basic questions for them to answer.

Yes, I know some of you are active in the thread, but In those cases I don't think it's been clear what your opinions are on the current topics

why is hunter suddenly trying to switching from his usual playstyle to choosing a no-lynch?

why does everyone seem to think myusername22 is defending alpha too hard

who is the most suspicious person to you right now?

who is the least suspicious person to you right now?

why are these people least/most suspicious?

any other thought /comments/things that should be argued more?

Sure, I'll bite.

why is hunter suddenly trying to switching from his usual playstyle to choosing a no-lynch?
I'd say it's quite along the lines of his normal playstyle this game, which is switching his idea on what to do around very often.

why does everyone seem to think myusername22 is defending alpha too hard
A lot of your posts have been about me in some way, which is flattering but gives off a different impression than what you would really want.

who is the most suspicious person to you right now?
Defiant_Blob, followed shortly by Hunter and then Jivvi. Actually, Defiant_Blob provided excellent reasons earlier for why he let me do the talking for amnesia early on.

who is the least suspicious person to you right now?
Anyone who I haven't talked about yet.

why are these people least/most suspicious?
Defiant_Blob was suspicious to me but the most suspicious person now is Hunter27a1. I don't trust him at all and I feel like even his day playstyle is harmful to the town. Plus he's not showing a consistent opinion on anything, so it's very hard to agree with what he says if he can't even agree with it.

any other thought /comments/things that should be argued more?

If lynching Hunter is indeed a good idea, or if it's a policy vote.

Switching my vote to the most suspicious/scummy in my eyes now.

unvote
vote Hunter27a1

Perhaps I scared him. ;)

Why does everyone seem to think myusername22 is defending alpha too hard?
You're defending Alpha too hard?

Perhaps others deem that as teamwork, and pair you two together.

Who is the most suspicious person to you right now?
Well, I still don't like Hunter.

Who is the least suspicious person to you right now?
Instead of taking the "I'm the least suspicious!" card, I'll just simply state that I believe everyone besides Alpha, Hunter, Defiant, Myuser, and Ltin are the least suspicious. Think of it as a promotion into suspicion, and they're still on ground zero.

Why are these people the most suspicious?
Hunter talks funny. He's also going back and forth between things.

Why are these people the least suspicious?
They haven't done anything that's deemed suspicious in my book, which in turn, you could say is quite suspicious.

Any other thought /comments/things that should be argued more?
Nay, for I have stated most of which I needed to state. If things come to mind, I shall bring them up in turn.

gonna answer these for myself so people know where I stand on the issues.
why is hunter suddenly trying to switching from his usual playstyle to choosing a no-lynch?

I really don't know. I put it into a group of questions because I was hoping others could give some insight into this. Personally, I think this looks very scummy and maybe he found whatever he was looking for or was trying to get some powerrole/town reads out of people.

why does everyone seem to think myusername22 is defending alpha too hard

It probably does look this way. Honestly, I just started defending alpha because i don't believe his alien claim and don't believe this makes him non-town. If he could be any alignment I honestly don't think he has better odds than a random lynch so I'd rather not lynch him yet, or until we get some more evidence.

who is the most suspicious person to you right now?

Hunters playstyle usually bothers me. In the past, Hunter has been hard to read so people end up letting him get off duing the scummiest stuff. I kind of think he's abusing this now and maybe he just changed his tactic to no lynch suddenly because either he found what he was looking for or because he doesn't want to cause himself to be lynched. not sure. Defiant blob also bothers me a bit. He's over-generalizing every strategy as the opposite of the normal overgeneralized strategies. I wonder if he's playing an obvious agenda or has just been out of the loop for a while or if he's just overthinking things while simultaneously overgeneralizing them.

who is the least suspicious person to you right now?

nobody is quite giving off solid town reads at this moment. I don't get a feeling i can trust anyone hear to not have a seperate agenda.

why are these people least/most suspicious?

Well, I might've already over stated why i find hunter suspicious. The issue with defiant blob is i'm not sure what to think of him, his playstyle confuses me.

any other thought /comments/things that should be argued more?

In the past the general strategy is to get people to talk as much as you can so the mafia can't lurk, however, this strategy is better suited to smaller games or games with low activity. The way hunter has been playing would make some sense in a small game, but it's too much for a game of this size on day 1. If we overencourage activity I'm afraid it'll give people an excuse to lurk because there will be a lot of people who are legitimately having trouble keeping up with the game. I'm not going to suggest people argue/post less, especially if they want to share, but I'm going to say It isn't necessary for us to keep trying to encourage more activity out of the already insanely active people. I also think we should make an effort to keep an eye on the people 'lurking' with one or two posts here and there and ask them to make a post now and then so that there aren't people going unnoticed after 20 pages of the same 10 people arguing back and forth.
