thanks
ooglie, what is your opinion on duffie
endersteve is there anything else you would like to add to the quoted

What this all put together looks like to me is that Duffie's leaving breadcrumbs all over the place for someone to find, and that his role, being the unusual one that he said it was, has something to do with interacting somehow with a certain other role. I also read from all of this that the role he has is something that GmK has specifically come up with for this particular game, so we could expect anything from him and to conclude my theory, I also hypotesize that Duffie is a third party, because all of this put together suggests that his win condition is something closely related to his particular role, not to get rid of all the threats to the town as the town win condition is, or to make the mafia control the vote, as the mafia win condition would be.

Hurt my toe again. I must really hate that toe

Anyway,

endersteve is there anything else you would like to add to the quoted
No.

The mafia recap is coming along nicely, even if most of it is about one single game. Expect it tomorrow morning somewhere between 8 am and 11 am GMT. I'll try to be as early as possible.

we were quiet for two hours
two hours
I've been too absorbed in Hearthstone and Log Horizon ;~;
Anyway, opinions on Duffie: Definitely acting abnormally in comparison to previous games but he seems to know what he's doing and has a purpose for it with his 'unusual role'. I don't believe he's too scummy in my eyes but stands out more than some others right now but, as always, I may be wrong since in Mafia games I can never scumtell Duffie at all, although that is mainly since he is too innocent but perhaps my radar will pick up on him this game with this new approach  In my opinion, he isn't the biggest concern to town for now but shouldn't be forgotten.

I don't like hunter. He is always to aggressive. And I think it was alpha that mentioned he had never actually been townsided in a forum game?
would like to point out that these aren't reasons to vote someone

If we're going to rush, let's atleast take the statistical chance of a lynch.
this is the definition of bandwagoning: choosing the most popular lynch target simply to get someone lynched.

You watch Log Horizon too? o/

About Duffie: I don't consider him much of a threat to the town at the moment. What I've hypothesized about him tells me that he has his own goal, which isn't a direct threat to the town, so for now I am somewhat comfortable with leaving him be. If the night should tell us he's dangerous, then we can reevaluate, but for now I see no imminent threat in Duffie, so to bolster up our numbers against mafia... sure, why not keep him alive for a little.

If the majority decides he's worthy of being lynched though, I'd probably throw my vote in as well.

>implying that bandwagoning with a reason is still bad

Duffie Would you rather us refer to you in-game with male or female pronouns?
A bit of a personal question in this game of Mafia. ;o

I guess at the moment, I don't really care, but I haven't seen anyone refer me as to being female, but... Perhaps I just read over it, not thinking too much on it. xD

If you're attempting to get a gender off of me from my role, let me state that I don't even have a name. xD

We've known each other for so long that I sometimes still refer to you as a female in my mind, from when I thought you were actually female, so I guess I might accidentally fluctuate between the two :p

How do you comment on Hunter's question about possibly causing havoc?

At least not directly. She mentioned wanting to tell us her role, but "where''s the fun in that?"
Two possible scenarios:
  • She doesn't want to reveal her win condition/powers, which fits her alignment as "other"
  • She hasn't yet made up a win condition or powers, and is waiting for more information to support the claim

Ah, alright then. That's two third party claims in one day. If she means no harm, wouldn't that imply she has the capability to cause havoc, with a win condition not for or against the town's goals?
How do you comment on Hunter's question about possibly causing havoc?
I think it depends how much you read into my comments in this match. I still continue to relay that I mean no harm to anyone in particular. :p

Honestly, with how things are going in real life, I'm still okay with this. This is probably hinting to what's going on, and is completely unrelated to Mafia, but whatever. The sooner I get this out, the more comfortable I am. xD

You make very valid points, but I reiterate that lynching or killing me will cause no effect in the match, mind for the lack of Duffie, and the drop of total members by one. :p

@everyone voting me
try recapping the reasons behind your vote and detailing whether or not they still apply, compare a Hunter lynch to other possibilities, and consider whether another choice would produce better results.

as for the two scenarios thing, they were two possible ones, not the only ones. it's certainly fun to mess around as third party and not claim immediately, which makes alpha's immediate claiming weird.

While Duffie may well turn out to be scum later (see Hectic Hawaii), I won't push for her lynch just yet.
Unlike the alien claim, she may well have useful powers which can be put toward town use.
(if you have a win condition and we can help out with that without dying, it would be a fun thing to do)
Oh, she said there would be no effect on the match if she died. Survivor it is. We can always use a backup lynch.

Reasons to vote Hunter:
Constant fishing for info
Wants to no-lynch D1
Meanwhile constantly pushing to determine who to lynch (hypocritical, if you are considering a lynch don't no-lynch, and don't try to say you're just scum hunting)
More later probs

we're forced to lynch every day. a survivor/third party claim would be a safe candidate for a lynch without much risk to the town, especially if the player in question doesn't have any powers.
You make very valid points, but I reiterate that lynching or killing me will cause no effect in the match, mind for the lack of Duffie, and the drop of total members by one.
The quote here implies she doesn't have any powers, which suggests a villager role if not for the undisputed third party claim made earlier.

Ltin could you provide evidence for your supposed "reasons"/
