I'll answer ender's questions while I am at it.
1)The zombies are probably a bigger threat than the mafia since it won't take long for them to get rolling, would rather nyx them early if we could.
2)I think for now I will keep this to myself, but I do have an idea.
3)I'd wager Oracle will reveal on death and maybe lonely survivor has to survive alone in an inn? Either that or its just a regular survivor role.

The lady stares in shock into the well, and the two bodies within it. Voices speak in a flurry around you, arriving long before you had.

The flavour text said that we searched through their pockets until we found a badge- couldn't anyone do that? Is the oracle like, the one true trusted to look through everything because anyone else would plant evidence or something?

And how the fuck did we lose two very vital roles in one night Never mind, I did read this last night, but I was too sleepy to really think at the time. Now that I'm awake, though...[/s]

I'd say the zombies, as far as Endy's question is concerned- If we're not careful and ignore them in favour of the mafia just because the latter is a bigger threat, they'll multiply under our noses. That doesn't mean the mafia isn't a threat, though! They have more abilities than a zombie does.
Suspicions? No, not yet. Too little evidence, too early to say.
I... Don't know about the oracle. Someone said something about them revealing roles upon death?

This may just be my inexperience talking, but... Couldn't anyone check the body to see who they are? Unless the oracle is the one true trusted person, and anyone else would plant evidence to make it seem as though 'this person is dead, don't look for them anymore'.

Flavor text is invariably just flavor text. The rooting through the pockets business is just a hosts way of incorporating role reveals into flavor text.
How does that work?
ER Mafia history lesson: In the Bloody Masquerade (hosted by GmK) there was a role called Lie Detector (played by NottyKitten). The Lie Detector could pull a quote from the previous day and determine if it was a true, accurate statement or a lie. If I recall correctly, the ability was limited use. Since it's appearance in that game, people in the community tend to bring it up on occaision. However, the role has not been reused yet [obviously excluding this current game as we can't be certain. Yeah mixed setup!]

What were the questions again? Oh yeah.
1) At this exact moment, the mafia is more threatening. A few nights from now, Zombies.
2) Whoever was saying "Notty was extremely close to being lynched yesterday" or something similar. Was that Vatu? It just seemed like they were blowing it out of proportion to gently sway some opinions (Note: "Gently" being relative to how much the opinions actually sway; the attempt itself would've been rather ham-fisted.)
3) Something about the Oracle and Survivor? I think the Oracle could have some ability relating to visits. Be it players visiting other players, or anyone visiting the Oracle. As for what the "Lonely" could mean for the Survivor, I don't know. I've gone through a few "Maybe.....No, that doesn't make any sense.....Or what if- no..." cycles and come up with nothing viable.

Note: Everything in this post is from memory. If something if incorrect/nonsensical, notify me.

JK hasn't been around since the start of D0.
Hi.
Sorry, I've had a long couple of days, so I guess you could say I've been cooped up in my room. Those Pokemon don't catch themselves!
Hey guys remember when we actually used day 0?
You mean, never? :p
The fire always begins after the first night. That's why I wish we just regulate Day 0's to be a short, 24 hour unlynchable period so everyone at least gets a chance to respond/throw around some jokes.
Because the true first day is when things start to get serious.

But on to Ender's questions---
I think the answer is obvious: the zombie faction is the "real" threat of this season; in fact they're even its namesake! Of course, if we were/are lucky(which... most of the time we really aren't in these games, source: killing/finding the cop dead so many times on the first day), then they could randomly just be wiped out and we'd be back to a normal round of Town vs. Mafia.
...But since that has not happened yet it has to be them that I feel like are the most dangerous, as they get stronger as time goes on, and can just as easily hide under the radar as a faction until its too late. Plus, if how I've interpreted their abilities in the signup thread is how their ability actually works (in terms of the Zombie leader), then depending on if the visited person was mafia or not, then its either a conversion to the faction or a kill.
I'm probably wrong and the leader has to choose to convert or kill for the action that night but since their targeting will be indiscriminate anyways they're still quite dangerous, and I don't want to see them grow too powerful before its too late.
why are people acting like keeping their suspicions to themselves is a good idea
Easy, because sometimes it is a good idea--- depending on what you're role is of course. Keeping a closed suspicion could be used to draw someone into a trap, wether you're a townie or anti-townie pr role. :p
Plus sometimes it can also lead to unncessary confusion or suspicion to lead to a mislynch. Lots of reasons; its up to the players discretion on what they should do.

Plus who's said this outside of Oak? This feels like the jumping-the-shark claim Vatu did earlier. Besides him the only thing i've seen is people who have said their suspicions and those who have said they don't really have any right now. I don't see what the deal is there.

BUT... for my suspicions. I'll say Mars and Vatu.
I won't say my reasoning for Mars (because it's most likely dumb) and Vatu for the stuff said earlier which felt unfounded and unhelpful, especially toward pushing the town forward for a lynching choice.

And in terms of the Oracle and Lonely Survivor...
Oracle is probably just either the Epicmafia or Werewolf equivalent, except third-party rather than explicitly apart of the town.
Lonely Survivor... I feel like is just a survivor. Honestly the name just makes me think of that one indie game from a few years back:
http://lonesurvivor.co.uk
Coincidentally, that had weird zombie creatures in it too. So im gonna say probably has some kinda hidden zombie mechanics because of that. :p
Like with whoever had the idea that they "hide" from being infected.

I mean, sure, I get that, but if that is the case (luring into traps etc), I feel it's counterproductive to say that "I have my suspicions, but I'll be keeping them private for now." Firstly because players will be more suspecting of a trap from those people and secondly because, well, it's basically saying that "I could provide a topic of discussion that could lead us to a better lynch, but I won't." Of course there are valid reasons for keeping your suspicions to yourself, but it was just slightly bothering me how both Ltin and Oak stated explicitly that they did have suspicions, but didn't say who they were. I don't know, maybe that's just me getting slightly irritated at stuff that is really fine.

That's what I initially thought as well, but Inffy raises a good point:
Thing is, oracle's objective is to survive, so you'd think their power would be linked to that rather than one linked to their death like the oracle from epicmafia (revealing role on death), which is why I don't think it's that.
There's hardly any point in giving a third party role that needs to survive to win a power that only activates upon their death. Samlen might as well have made the Oracle a Town role in that case, because that's what it effectively would be, just with a win condition that discourages actually playing the role to its full extent.

To be honest I agree with Ender, the fact people said they had suspicions but then didn't say anything more seemed odd to me too, and I'd like for them to out their suspicions because I can't really see much point in not doing (especially since people are talking of lynching me lol). I don't understand the idea of luring or trapping by not outing suspicions (how does that even work? I'm confused) - surely the most productive thing we can do is all out our suspicions and collectively decide on the most agreeable decision. Then we can use people's suspicions with deaths and confirmed roles and observed interactions to try to piece the game together.

Also I woke up this morning and after sleeping on it, I'm actually quite suspicious of Vat. His suspicions don't really make sense to me personally and it kind of feels as if he's just trying to scrape together any suspicion so he can not seem quiet (and we know he does believe quiet is suspicious and is conscious of it because he's said so). It's nothing big and maybe I'm just panicking and frantically trying to get suspicion off of me but yeah, I agree with Jk about Mars and Vat being suspicious.

Looking back on his posts it kinda seems to me like he might be the zombie leader. They way things he said are worded (ex. "we shouldn't focus on zombie leader right now") just seem like how the zombie leader might say.

I find it a bit silly that me trying to bring some sense into Day 0 is being used against me.
It's not just that, at lease for me, I just think you vibe differently (which can of course be due to multiple reasons, which is why my suspicion is tiny), and your posts on day 0 and the wording of them and the tone of them contribute to that.

So as far as this night goes it is definitely quite a whammy to lose both two power roles in one night. That being said.

Due to the relative trolliness of Day 0 I don't exactly have any major suspicions. I have some minor ones on inffy, partially due to him being the sole survivor of an inn and secondly due to a gut feeling I am having.

I do feel like the zombies are much more of an issue than the mafia is. The mafia has a very finite number of people in it but the zombies will grow each night. Because remember, for all we know one of us is already infected.

Samlen can Zombies convert even if the leader is dead?
(Taken from Role List on initial post)
Zombie Leader - Wins if zombies have majority
-With other Zombies, chooses one person each night that will be infected OR killed, based on current player/zombie ratio
-A player is NOT notified of when they are infected, but turn into a zombie the following night
-IF infected, a player will still participate in ALL night/day chats
-Mafia members CAN NOT BE INFECTED, only killed
-All zombies visit target, but NOT each other (vanilla zombies die first in cases related to visiting)
-Zombie Leader has to be blocked to stop zombie action (or, if Zombie Leader is dead, whichever Zombie is carrying out the night action)

As stated in the role, yes, the zombies do have an action even if the Leader dies.
