But eh I am the scribe role where I can translate one message of alien text every night. I have 3 alien messages that I can choose from. And I suppose this death message counts as one aswell that my ability could translate. Though I am of firm belief that these could also be decoded by hand with some smart thinking(though I haven't actually cracked this encryption it yet ;-; ).
Primal proof of this is the fact that I posted the language that appeared on the death message, so I clearly had knowledge of the language beforehand. I am actually allowed to give you guys the 3 alien messages so here they are:
I've cracked #2 and #3 already myself because I'm a genius and also like I said the encryption was different(and easier). #2 and #3 read:

Anyways since I did have a decrypt method for #2 and #3 I thought it'd be interesting to post some symbols on the thread(which is why I unvoted and later hammered, to make sure I wouldn't get day 0 lynched for posting alien symbols). Since desceptive text etc is not allowed the alien text I posted at the end of last day is litterally the intro text from the first post of this thread since it doesn't hide any new info or anything(Inf granted me permission to do this!).
I also posted it in the hope I would get visited during the night(since who doesn't like things happening to them!) and well that seemed to have worked? What do you guys know of the devil and disappearing tattoos?

Sure, I'll spoiler it. Anyone who doesn't care about how I attempted to decrypt the alien message myself doesn't really have to read this as it doesn't really have much to do with the game
I started writing down the 3 phrases(but I'll keep it at 2 here since #1 didnt work out). I gave every symbol a distinct letter and then wrote the messages down using those letters. The assigning was as following:

Then I noted that 'HKD' occured quite a few times, and I took the guess that this is the english word 'THE'. So I went and replaced all H's in the message with T's. All K's with H's and D's with E's. I turned everything else into question marks. Then I got this:

The black words were supplied by Nottykitten, the red words were brute-force dictionary search results, and the blue ones are context-filled. I wish my neighbour's dogs would stop barking so that I could concentrate on this, but I think we've got a good gist of what the text about.

I realised that every word in this text was using a different, but the important thing is that within the same word, the same letter would be encoded the same way. I suppose that's what notty did which led her to "hallucinations", "unconscious" and "understanding". There was another long word in the text separated with a hyphen, so assuming that it was all encrypted the same way I did a dictionary search on it and it returned "chemically-induced" almost immediately with 99.3% certainty.
The same applied to "occupants", "species", "conscious", "thoughts" and "presence". There were two long words which I couldn't decipher with a dictionary attack alone, one of which I was able to determine using context. The other one, though, which was a 10 letter word with no letter repetitions, couldn't be deciphered even with context-filling as it was a sentence on its own. All the other blue words were filled in based on grammar or context.
