I've elected not to fast travel in my Twitter run, so that the game is more immersive. Interestingly enough that's not something I held myself to in Fallout 3/New Vegas, because I didn't feel the game was immersive enough on its own to be worth meeting halfway.
In oblivion, it would've been real hard.
Although in Skyrim, I'de say it's immersive enough.

Just uh, make sure you don't get Novice Ice Mage'd along you're way.

I'm my second, lovely and most windy trip to discover Winterhold, I bought a horse.
Now ready for the journey ahead, I managed to find a town very close to it.
After leaving, I was promptly chased to the edge of a great chasm by a wolf. No matter what I did, my horse always seemed to move towards the edge.
Eventually I had had enough and knew it was either:
Risk fall damage atop horse.
Or dismount safely, but watch my horse fall and die.

I chose dismounting.
BIG MISTAKE, AS I HAPPENED TO DISMOUNT INTO THE CHASM AND FELL TO MY DEATH.
WHERE IS MY CHARACTER'S COMMON SENSE.

I'm sorry, are we fighting trees

Do we need to chop something

Or do we need to smash it to Oblivion?

I'm sure the Legion will be impressed with your axe while they're breaking your legs with their maces
Yeah. You laugh.

Meanwhile, I've got far more wood than you ever will.

Feel emasculated by my axe yet?
