Though, since you killed a guard, the guards may attack on sight for a while. Leave the city and wait a couple days. Come back and you should be able to speak to a guard to pay fine and etc.
The fine is your bounty, so 20 gold.Pay the fine? How much is it for 20 bounty?

I have 4.Is it bad that I have started about 5 different characters? I just can't decide what type of character to be. :c
At the moment I'm playing as a Dark Elf. I mostly use Conjuration and Destruction. But, Alteration is quite helpful with all the Oakflesh and Stoneflesh and all that. Combine that with a Bound sword and you got some weird form of a battle-mage.
I've stuck with one character, I'm never really consistent with my characters, but I'm playing as a Khajiit that wears heavy armor, one handed blade and shield that also uses magic and sometimes uses a bow. Just like my character in oblivion...Is it bad that I have started about 5 different characters? I just can't decide what type of character to be. :c

Take the good weapons and enchant them I only use chillrend and mace of molag bal, the first is good for hard mobs, the latter is good for filling up soul gems, and regular mobs and they both have INSANE damage. My first character was a nord that mainly used one handed, but sometimes used bow and restoration.
My second is a khajiit who uses mainly a bow, but dual wields daggers in close range, and is skilled in sneaking. Also is an alchemist and smith.
Also, I hate enchanted weapons. Or rather, I hate relying on them. I'd rather have a weapon that can do decent damage all the time, rather than enchanted weapon that has to suck up soul gems to be any good.
I wouldn't say it is 10 minutes, maybe from the time you get the quest but you have to do a bit to get the quest first... also, how wierd... I am JUST about finished with that questline, you will be quite surprised... quite surprised...After spending quite a few hours becoming the listener in Oblivion, I was ready for the same thing in Skyrim.
(10 minutes into the questline) "Night Mother: Hello, my Listener."
Much rage followed.
When I fist fighted her, one of the people in the tavern got in the way and I ended up getting a bounty. >.>I'm an Imperial. Joined the Imperial Legion. I usually use an Iron Mace of Dismay with an Imperial Shield.
In other situations, I use a steel battle axe and I pump out a FUS RO DAH when possible.
When fighting dragons, I use the second method, and I occasionally switch to bows for distance death dealing.
As of now, I'm working towards buying a home in Whiterun. Afterwards, I'll work around to earning 500 gold so I can buy a mercenary in the Drunken Huntsman. Finally, I'll fistfight the woman in the Bannered Mare.
Boom, that'll be three meatshields: Woman, Mercenary, and Lydia.
...dang, why are all my followers female...
As a Thief-Assassin Dual Dagger/Bow user, it's incomprehensibly easy to get gold.@Ciphered Ever try being a thief? Thief Guild earned me about 30,000 gold from selling my stolen goods :3
You can becomeAs a Thief-Assassin Dual Dagger/Bow user, it's incomprehensibly easy to get gold.
I had 50k at one point and decided to buy and completely upgrade the house in Riften just to get rid of some, had 30k left still ._.

I'm probably going to add Harbringer of the Companions to this soon, and I might do mage guild too.
It's almost excessive how much gold they give you.You can becomeAnd yes, thieving is great for gold, also you get a LOT of money from the DB questline... too bad I spent it all on upgrades :lthane of the marsh town too
It's almost excessive how much gold they give you.
Seriously, the only reason I sell stuff is to clear our my inventory...
Take the horse carriage to Falkreath, and it's a short walk away. Can someone give me a screenshot of the location of the entrance of the Dark Brotherhood to me, I kill Grelod the Kind and everything but I can't find the hideout.
I'm gonna try to reverse-pickpocket 30k of gold onto someone, and watch them notice me doing it and try to kill me...And yeah, I usually run out of inventory space a LOT and basically only buy when I need potions/ingots for upgrading and the rest is selling gear and weaponsWell, we did have to kill the empire's king, the ruler of most of tamriel so I think it wasn't that excessive :3...
If you killed Grelod the Kind without it being a quest, I'm afraid you can't join anymore. If you killed Grelod via quest, talk to the boy who gave you the quest again. Afterwards, sleep for 10+ hours. Can someone give me a screenshot of the location of the entrance of the Dark Brotherhood to me, I kill Grelod the Kind and everything but I can't find the hideout.
No, I've done the scary kid quest thingy, I spoke to that woman who took me to the abandoned shack, and she invite me to the dark brotherhood, now I just need to find the base.If you killed Grelod the Kind without it being a quest, I'm afraid you can't join anymore. If you killed Grelod via quest, talk to the boy who gave you the quest again. Afterwards, sleep for 10+ hours.
