JKangaroo His argument was that he was the doctor. While it doesn't outright look like so, an argument, by the book, is "reason or set of reasons given with the aim of persuading others that an action or idea is right or wrong". In his statement, his idea was that he was doctor. In particular, his statement where he blatantly said he was the doctor. It was a statement aimed to persuade us the idea that he was the doctor is right. So, by the dictionary definition, it indeed was an argument.

However, I have no idea why this is relevant to the case at all and why it was brought up.

Why do I get the feeling you took this reasoning from... perhaps Mafia Lite v1? :p

Anyhow, I do not believe this line of reasoning is perfect in very much essence, and thought it was kind of resolved earlier in previous posts, primarily due to the debate between Defaint and myself, but as well as the actions of others, including yourself, Mr. theodorre, who almost went along with Mr. Dessern's theory. As well as the Misters, Vati and Sploorky, who appeared to bandwaggon at the chance to lynch me.

Should we return to the lines of events that brought us here?
1) Dessern's theory of the doctor saving the zombie, due to some mistaken circumstances that occurred the previous night.
2) Dessern's accusation of my personal being, and the grouping of other players to lynch me.
3) Alpha's restating and clearing up any misconceptions due to his story-line going over the previous night's events.
4) Following Dessern's, as well as the townsfolk's retraction of their statements, and apologies due to a false lead.

Does it appear that anything is going wrong up to this point? For me it does, as I was the primary target. However, again, this line of reasoning was quickly neutralized due to Alpha's comment, so balance was regained in this deceitful game we so call "Mafia." After this, there were at a stalemate, as we were uncertain what process or line of thinking we should follow, or if we should lynch a townsperson at all. I see nothing here that puts us both in the same category of players, i.e. the Mafia.

Shall we continue with the events?
5) We discussed some things about real life Mafia, and possible Mafia killing due to playing on the same server.
6) Marn votes for Dessern, with no evidence or argument to be seen yet!
7) It is here that Defaint states there is something "off" with Dessern's argument, and proceeds to give some of his ideas on the matter.
8) We battle, rebutted against each other's arguments, and etc.
9) Here, in our present situation.

It is only recently, that this idea that Dessern is apart of the Mafia as sprung up. In fact, it was suggested by Mr. Bonshon, if not the hippo, Marnixxie himself if he had discussed his line of reasoning before the blobby-Mr. Bonshon.

Acutally, I want to bring something up seeing the timeline on what has passed.

What argument exactly? Dessern has not conceived any ideas as of late, primarily because of Alpha's statement clearing up the affairs. Actually, Dessern, from what I have seen in the statements he's made, simply explained how he came to the consensus that I was one of the Mafia, but knew he was wrong due to Alpha's explanation.

Because of this, why would I need to desperately defend Mr. Jack(Dessern), if in actuality, there was nothing to use against him after these occurrences with Alpha cleaned up? I also do not see how I am tied into a team with Mr. Jack.
Infact, he, and I should have actually seen this quote beforehand, as it does, in my opinion, clear a moderate amount of this man's name.
If I was correct, and I am still hoping I was; I was, and still am, defending an innocent man.

I will remain in a NO LYNCH vote and state until evidence can sway me otherwise.
With that in mind, I will be looking forward to Marnixxie 's argument that Dessern should be the one to be lynched off with bated breath, for then I may change my voting decision, or remain with the prospect I have chosen for now.
~With such, Cromnwell bows, tipping his hat.~

In such

Very well, Mr. Kangaroo, I shall change my vote to a No Lynch, as you have provided enough evidence to sway my decision. But I must inform you, Mr. Roo, I have not looked at Mafia v1 and thus have not gathered my reasoning from that game :p

JKangaroo , well, your status as mafia/skeleton is irrelevant to the case with Mr. Jack, regardless of whether he intended to make you look innocent or not.

Whether Mr. Jack is guilty or not shouldn't quite affect whether you are innocent. i.e. should Mr. Jack be innocent, you will not be innocent just because you defended him. Though, it may give you more ground.

If this is a question pointed at me, it would suit Mr. Theodorre more however, as the line and ideas I was speaking of are indeed relevant to the case I was addressing; namely the accusation of Mr.Theoddore, stating we are on the same team, i.e. The Mafia, and because of his accusations, it is a supposed effort to conceal me from suspicion.

Hold on; I'm confused. Are you accusing me of being in the Mafia or accusing me of posting ideas irrelevant to the case, JKangaroo?
Neither.
In my post, I merely stated that the information I provided in my previous post was in response to the statements you provided in your accusation / post previously uttered here, which in turn was valid information that was relevant to the case at hand, due to you referring to these lines of reasoning.

So in a sense, Defiant is saying your ideas are irrelevant to the case, which Is why I mentioned that the statement Defiant was giving reflected more on what you stated, though I know for certain that is not the line of direction he is suggesting / meaning.

I do not agree with this. If Mr. Dessern was indeed innocent, then Mr. Roo would gain a lot more by defending him. For all we know, JKangaroo could be one of the power roles, who investigated Dessern that night, and was notified that Dessern was an innocent player. If that really did happen, then JK would be desperate to defend him, as the lynching of an innocent player never, ever, helps a game and would only help the Mafia.

And Jkangaroo, as you said, could easily be mafia or killer as well.

This is why being on one side of an argument that is correct shouldn't help or hinder your innocence.

To quote Dessern:
I will make the first accusation then. Jkangaroo I belive he is a zombie as during the night I found out his role which is indeed a zombie (anything else to add).
That seems like a certain cop soft-claim. Then I said:

Yeah, voting JKangaroo. Seems very unlikely a mafia member would fake being a cop this early in the game just to kill one person.
If a mafia member did this, they would be dead by day two. Once he claimed doctor, I retracted my vote because I was going to lynch a seemingly innocent person.

Okay my posting did indeed slow down but I am going for a NO LYNCH I admit that I was ignorant of the fact that I would be told if I saved somebody. I misread the entire night and have to deal with the consequences but either way you can try to lynch me now and kill the doctor or you can let me live through the night (protecting myself) then die the next night. If I dont die soon you will know that I did indeed lie to you but be wary of the fact that the mafia members are smart and try not to kill me to lead you to belive that I am mafia.

Holy crap, so much happens when I'm asleep and at school. o.o

This has been text heavy, but I wanna see Marn's reasoning before I vote. It might end up starting something completely different and create a new discussion. I still think it's a little too early t' vote no lynch though, because everyone's reasoning (for those that voted earlier) wasn't fully justified yet.

I am going to retract my no-lynch until further notice.
Mainly due to the influx of people choosing no-lynch, and I did state I wanted to hear what Marn would discuss, and if more people continued to no-lynch, as they are seemingly doing currently, we may not get that chance.
In retracting my no-lynch for the time being, hopefully it will give us more time to see what Marn will say, and come up with a better conclusion.

As the townspeople gathered the garage at jerichos home began to open, and an rattling engine could be heard. A strange metal box like object approached the mob on tracks. The people observed it fasinated as it rolled towards them and than it stopped at the edge of a crowd. As a television screen mounted to the box flickered to life, a camera activated as did a microphone while a set of speakers spoke out "A plausability everyone, would it be possible for dessern to try to root out the true doc so the mafia can eliminate him. That is of course assuming he is a mafia member and they are not above sacrifing a member so early to elimnate power roles."

Hrm. Confusion reigns during Day 1. What do.
We've got 77, Jolt, and Kraby1 who are all very inactive.

Keeping in mind that the Mafia won once because they kept very quiet, I have decided to cast a vote in favor of lynching Kraby1.
If
kraby1 has something to say in his defense, I would appreciate it if he would enlighten us as to why we should not lynch him today.

Oh, and avoid bandwagoning, because if we get too many votes before he responds, we could lynch an innocent man.

I think that we should even think about lynching people that are stayin' quiet yet. They're probably goin' through the first few days of school and are busy to the point of not being on the forums long enough t' play Mafia (ESPECIALLY with the giant amounts of text from overnight). I'm referring to 77 and kraby. I feel like Jolt's strategy is t' just stay as quiet as possible, then rarely give any reason as t' why he votes for the person he wants t' be lynched. Kinda strange. I think he should probably change his tactic t' not make him look more suspicious (especially after he was the Enderman one game).

My thoughts on the inactivity people. Discuss.

Correct. But I've found in the past that /usually/ you can do stuff to find out. It sometimes (Not always) works to accuse someone who you find suspicious, and give them the choice between lynch and bailing themselves out.
