I think /lick should be moved to Master+. I know some staff may object, but i think it would be a good motivator for the player base. I know theres a danger of lick spam, but by the time someone is master, they're usually mature enough to to keep it within reason. Obviously, this is just a fun command, but Masters only get a handful of new commands after builder and adv.builder, the majority being building commands. I know plenty of Masters that would back me up on this, so please give it some thought :)

I would love to see this become a master's command as master's have been playing for long enough that they won't be stupid enough to spam lick and it would give me and some other advbuilders a greater reason to achieve master even though they don't get that many fun or useful commands.

I agree with Sploorky here. SOME masters will probably still lick spam. A Trusted can be a Trusted because of many qualities, and one of them, is to be mature. That's why /lick is a Trusted+ command. But, for Masters, they just need 600 cookies. If a player plays a lot, they can easily achieve Master.

I've seen a lot of masters banned for doing stupid things. It only takes a second to go overboard. However, I do agree that masters don't get too many new, useful, commands.

It technically takes 1135 cookies total to get from guest to master.

That fact aside, it's true there will always be immature people.

Color's idea sounds good, although, i still think were talking very few masters that would do this, and most i would hope are smart enough to stop after a warning. Either way, spam isnt extremely common and when i do see it, it's 90% of the time builder and below. I like the idea of a test run, just for a week or so, and afterward the Head staff could dicuss how it went and whether or not to keep or edit it. Just a suggestion.

Now keep in mind, ANYTHING can be abused.
/water can, creature battle invites, anything that involves interaction with others.
It's not like the moment lick is available to the longest playing members, it will comstantly be used and used. I mean come on, Ex-Staff and veteran players need to have a brain to get to where they are today.
What I'm afraid of is that:
1. One/ a small few players will abuse it and annoy others.
2. The command gets drafted without a warning.
Like with /lava, because a few people are abusing it past it's reason, it can get taken away and everyone feels the pain.
But technically lick spam is warnable under rule 9 too. If a master doesn't understand after a warning to stop, they should be punished, not the other mature players.

Another addition to Color's idea is masters could be charged a set amount of cookies to lick someone.
I thought about that, such as 1 cookie per lick. But i don't wanna waste cookies. Maybe if it was a useful command like /join but its just a fun little easter egg, so i don't see the point in charging for it.

@oliver56bird- We don't want it used to the point of spaming, but i still think it should be a free practical command. Which is why i recommend exploring our options.

I still like the test idea, to see how certain people handle it. Of course, some people may abuse it just because its for a possibly limited time. We won't know unless e try. I know theres been some stupid masters out there, but i still think abusing is not common with masters. Overall, its up to the Head Staff, but id love to read more opinions.

The lick command already got controller once becouse of the staff spamming, I wonder what would happen if we gave it to masters..
Anything can be spammed, like Araidian said. Why let that be the soul reason it be scrapped? If we don't get a try how can we know? What the staff did in the past doesn't mean masters will repeat the mistake.

I'm a Master. I honestly don't see any use of the "Lick" command and find it to be somewhat annoying when I see other users spam the heck out of it. Why not have a new useful command for Masters though? The commands that came with Master when I got it are pretty much useless. My most used command is /paint.
Is there any way for a Master to build quickly?

That's a stereotype if I ever saw one :c

Plus guys, you are treating it like one day, every master will band together to hit /lick 20 times every second. Lick is a fun command with no purpose or anything. We already have commands like that and there hasn't been a problem. Personally in all my days on this server, I haven't met a single master who would use lick repeatedly. Since spam seems to be the only nail people are driving as a negative, I'd like to rule that out.

rawrmynameisrex Maybe not build quickly unless there was access to a /z. But thats for Vet-Ops for a reason.
But yes, Master needs some more commands XD

Thing is, there's no need to have a limit. A trail would be nice, but this is just a simple command guys. Don't worry about spam, because that breaks a rule, can be warned for, and is a rare occurrence.
If someone is a master, they know the rules. Think of another reason other then spam please. :/

Because master =/= mature. If I recall recently, a Master was banned for building an inappropriate building because he was "bored".

I really do fear lick spam, and the fact that masters are usually mature enough to keep in within reason, doesn't mean all masters would. Perhaps it could be changed to master as a test, but that is up to the head staff.
That^.
