It's not that they didn't want to help you. Think of all the requests they get like yours. Then think of the tiny amount of staff they would have to handle it. It will take a while for them.
As Shiny said, send another e-mail. Try to make it as informative but small as possible, including all needed verification information, but keeping it short. This way they can quickly deal with your problem and move onto the next.
