From what I gather:

• some people think Ltin is trying too hard to seem innocent and making confusing statements
• Hunter thinks Mayor should claim because it gives us a proven innocent and they aren't a huge target so won't get killed by Mafia
• but some think that by outing as Mayor it gives Mafia a slightly better chance at killing more important roles/doing more damage because they won't waste a kill on the Mayor because they'll know who to avoid.
• Some people have suspicion on Oog for making "suspicious" posts

There is a 36% chance that a random person not in the mafia is a civilian. If we lynch a town pr/3rd party, that percentage rises to 40%. If we no lynch that number stays at 36%.

If only to point out I'm just regurgitating stats I already calculated the day before.

OK, but why is an extra vote useful? if the town agrees on a lynch, then 1 extra vote doesn't matter. If the town is split down the middle, with 4-5 voting for one and 4-5 voting for another like last game with Oog and 77th, who says that the Mayor will vote for the right guy?

This is why I don't think the mayor is necessary and I agree with notty that it decreases the probability maf will nightkill a civ.

'trying too hard to look inno' looks like flimsy reasoning (coming from someone who voted aqua with the same justification-ish as a joke) and i was more suspicious of ltin for the stuff he did prior to this e.g. paparazzi thing. i did the same maths in my head but was too lazy to post it

No, it's the fact you've been heavily pro lynching up and till this point, and when hunter makes a semi-serious post which is hardly an accusation, you instantly jump to oogs side defending him, which, tbh does make it seem you too are linked. If it were me or anybody else, you would probably jump on the lynch bandwagon.
