I personally highly agree with Psycho. We need to be a lighthearted community that is welcoming towards others, not a Adult Swim on Cartoon network sort of thing. Besides, the use of the word "n*****" is really quite offensive towards black people. I know it's probably not being used in that context, but really you need to be considerate. It's not immature to be offended by a word. Not every word in the dictionary is morally a good one. I do believe that everyone on the community has forgotten the terms and conditions of joining this site. That includes no sexual and religious talk. I have been seeing things like "**** the Jews", and sexual talk on this site, and really that is EXTREMELY far fetched. The terms and conditions of this site clearly state that "sexual talk or religious subjects will NOT be tolerated." And whatever the Admin's say goes. Members, stop acting like you're the controllers and can do and write whatever you want. This community was not built on banter and vulgar comments, and if this was the case, you would have heard the admins say so. And if it was built off of banter, then why wasn't vulgar comments and cussing a thing back in Classic Blocktopia? I have been on here a long time to notice that vulgar speaking has become a norm when in early Blocktopia, it was hardly a normal thing. Clearly we weren't based off of this, it was built to unite Minecraft players together to have fun on TNT and things instead of making this a "come and talk about whatever is on your mind" hub. In a way, you're scaring new members away from the server because you're making them feel uncomfortable. Heck back then, this sort of talk was not tolerated by the admin, and if it got too excessive, they may have been banned.
Actually to be quite honest, I am just as upset as Psycho, and Psycho has every right to be unhappy. I'm actually doing my best to restrain myself from saying anything too harsh. I'm not starting another cussing post here (which btw was asking if people could tone it down and not do it excessively), I am talking merely about the overall context of what everyone's been saying. I do agree that this community needs a slap up the side to get them back on track. The admins are like the parents and the community the kids. Sometimes a little discipline is necessary. Things just can't always be left alone, it can't just be "live and let live". People need to get back on track. People are not going to like this post, and I am not forcing them to. But really, we need to stop doing what WE want to do, and start thinking about what is MORALLY right. That is all, thank you.
P.S. I've already written out my goodbye in the departure thread, and it's just waiting to be posted if this sort of vulgar talk continues. I am really not wanting to leave this community, in fact I love this community, but these sort of vulgar comments makes me love it less and less. And that is not my fault, and that doesn't mean I am uneducated. Please do not call me that.
