Yes it is inevitable that the detective will have to reveal themself, that I agree on, just a thing to keep in mind that when the detective does begin to make accusations it is more than likely the mafia will counter that by having a member also claim to be the detective. Although by having a bit more time and a bit more information, the detective should be able to counter those with a few good accusations. This is really the rest of my reasoning for not revealing the detective as of yet, the detective becomes more powerful with time really which is why I was led to suspect you for wanting an early reveal. I never wanted the detective to reveal himself, due to the fact that if the detective learned anything and said it publicly, he would reveal himself. I wasn't that clear, was I? Basically, the detective's revealing would be inevitable.
