Yes it is inevitable that the detective will have to reveal themself, that I agree on, just a thing to keep in mind that when the detective does begin to make accusations it is more than likely the mafia will counter that by having a member also claim to be the detective. Although by having a bit more time and a bit more information, the detective should be able to counter those with a few good accusations. This is really the rest of my reasoning for not revealing the detective as of yet, the detective becomes more powerful with time really which is why I was led to suspect you for wanting an early reveal. P.S. Made a big fail in my last post and called Dessern, Umbreon :roflmao:, my apologies.

First time I've checked this thread, I agree with Kraby... the problem is, who to lynch? Like so many others have said, we don't have any proof, and while we could end up lynching a mafia, we could also end up lynching the detective or another good guy.

Idk... you're still suspicious to me. The mafia most likely won't go after the detective, because they think that the doc will save him. But if the detective is revealed, then basically all the Mafia need to do, is get lucky on the doc, and we lose the two most useful PRs.

Ah so you believe if the detective reveals themself now we can protect them so they can find out members of the mafia for us without interference, but that leads me to my earlier argument to the fact that he is then reliant upon the doctor for protection, which means one lucky hit and he goes the next night as well.

I am not actually trying to get the detective to reveal his/herself. While it may be hard to let what you found out be known without giving away who you are it is possible. I suggest actually waiting to reveal anything until the next day. I am having feelings that he/she may have figured out nothing important (meaning that one of the citizens were investigated)

I'm not keen on them getting lucky I would prefer it if the doctor and the detective were free to play their cards for as long as possible behind the scenes. Besides, Dessern is right, the detective doesn't have to reveal themselves to do their job, more often than not they'll be able to steer the rest of us on the right path, so they may not even choose to reveal themselves at all whether we want them to or not.

Did the town win yet? No? Ugh ok guys to start let's all not quickly vote until everyone speaks their mind. Now as I said at the end of last game we cant wait for evidence or slip ups that only happens when playing with friends face to face. So what we have to do and I honestly dont care if I get lynched for this but it all comes down to what happened to me on one of the first mafia games I played on here. We have to just pick someone gang up on them and lynch them. And move on from there.

Can you tell us who is town, so that you can gain the trust of at least one person if it turns out to be true and if you ARE the detective? This could just be you pretending to be the detective, when really you're the mafia...

Well its seems after all my arguments it all came down to nothing. Or did it, just because you can name a civilian doesn't mean you are the detective, after all the mafia has the Contact and the knowledge of who their members are. While you may be telling the truth I'm going to be rather cautious until you can validate this.

I will not be naming the town as it gives hints for mafia. If I just say they are or are not mafia, then the mafia will just kill them since they don't want us to have many hints.

As long as I'm alive and doctor is protecting me we still have the report.

And if I was truly not Detective, then the real Detective could counter my claim anyways.
