The barkeep stood there staring at them with his soulless eyes. His deep baritone voice resounding off the walls like an echo.
"There will be no escape for any of you now. Unfortunately for you I have just the means to kill you. Soon you will be but a distant memory long since forgotten, and I'll be in my rightful place. Now hand over the Enderpearl and your end shall be quick." Durwin's scream was full of the hate that had welled up inside him for such a heinous creature. As his arms lifted so too did the fire scorching his soul, burning him to end it. With a loud crack the very room split as concentrated fire and sir spewed forth unto the barkeep. The barkeep had no time to react and the air sliced at his flash, his bone, his life. Fire consumed him and all that could be heard was his laugh, as evil and soulless as his eyes. The ordeal abruptly ended, and the barkeep still stood, looking as if almost nothing had happened.
"Foolish Wizard, do you honestly think that I had not fully prepared this vessel? Now you will feel my might." And he launched forward into the group.

 

[Duffie]

As the two went into an argument, Durwin let go of Duffie. She backed off a bit, reaching into her bag for her enchanted staff, when Durwin suddenly burst into flames and spewed fire from himself toward the barkeep.

Not quite expecting the blast, Duffie fell back, away from Durwin. Looking toward the unharmed barkeep, Duffie, quite alarmed, brought out her staff and held it diagonally in front of her, reaching for the hidden button to release the hidden blade inside the staff.

Before anyone could react Darth pulled his light saber and started battling with the barkeep. Then Defiant got out his Diamond sword and one by one we all started battling. The out of nowhere the great hippo jumps into the air squashing the barkeep. "Let's see what this guy knows..." as Durwin tied him to one of the chairs

[*cough* We're not supposed to control the actions of others, mainly.]

 

[Duffie]

Now, onto the rules;

1. No instant death without consent.
2. Be fair. It's just a small game for having a little fun!
3. Play by your current skin. Don't go changing it just to be overpowered or switch out.
4. Don't speak for other people, unless they allow it. This includes their actions.
5. If you drop out of the game, try to be unique about it.
6. Have fun. That's the sole reason for this!

[Defiant_Blob]

Blob wouldn't take this. He didn't care if the barkeep was being controlled. He was his friend.
Blob reached out and grabbed Durwin's and Duffie's arm. "Stop! He may be possessed, but he's still human. Surely he can be freed."
The controlled barkeep laughed evilly. "As if you could overwhelm my power."
Blob, thinking quickly, demanded the Enderpearl. Durwin pulled away and began to protest, but Blob ripped it away from him.
"Let's see what kind of powers this thing has," Blob said as he leaped forward, smashing the Enderpearl into the barkeep's forehead. White light enveloped the room.

 

[Jubjubers]

As this white light emanates from the bar, many people outside of this building have seen through the windows. A few children playing nearby drop their toys and glare intently. Jub, however, staggers around as quickly as the light started and, after stumbling, gains balance and observes this Inn.
He meanders towards the window, as if to capture a glimpse into the strange bar. His hand then slides off his helmet and Jub begins to watch this all unfold. A creepily large grin stretches across his slightly inhuman face as panic is slowly spreading.

The sound of the ocean was pleasing to the ear. Waves rolling back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, across the sand. The sun was up but it wasn't an uncomfortable feeling. Seagulls are heard from the distance. All is stable and in tune with the waves. Durwin lied there taking it all in without using his eyes. The wind was slightly salty. Soon another sound broke out of harmony with the waves. It was faint and easy to ignore so Durwin put it off. Closer and closer it came, louder and louder. It stopped right at Durwin's head.
"Wake up dear." The voice feminine and seductively kind.
"Wake up dear, you do not belong." It grew increasingly insistent.
"Durwin Alexander Drauka you will get up this instant!" The voice still feminine, turned worried, and slightly menacing. Durwin's eyes flashed open. The face above him seem to have sprung new relief.
"Mom?" Durwin asked hesitantly.
"Yes, it is I. But you do not belong. It is far from your time. Return to your friends and know that I will be watching, hoping, and praying for you." With that she bent over and closed Durwin's eyes.
"But wait I wan-" It felt like his very core was being sucked down a tube. A scream formed but with no sound. Instantly his body jerked on the floor. He was in his room at Brewer's Stand. Most of it was demolished and there were the others there as well.
"My god Defiant, what did you do?"

 

[Defiant_Blob]

The barkeep stood up and looked around. "What happened?"
Blob walked up to him and gave him a hearty pat on the back. "Nothing. Glad to see you're back," Blob said cheerily. He noticed the bar's condition and continued, "Sorry about your place. I'll see if I can hook you up with a place in my hometown, Arcem, if you want."
Blob looked to Durwin, smiled, and held up the Enderpearl. "I don't know what I did, but it worked."

 

[Thetogolopian]

The Enderpearl flies to Durwin's hands.
"Look at it... it's turned almost completely black! Whatever happened, I'm not sure whether to be excited or immensely afraid. I am glad that you got your friend back but I hope you haven't just doomed us all."

Darth watched the whole proceedings with great interest. Had it not been for Blob, he would have knocked the wretched man out the second-story window. As it was, he kept his hand on his weapon until Blob smashed the Enderpearl into the barkeep's forehead.
At the blinding flash of light, he just stared. The lenses on his mask polarized to prevent damage to his eyes.
He was probably the only one to notice the figure standing outside the window, just staring in eerily.
"Wonder who that fellow is..." thought Darth.

The next thing he noticed, Blob was patting the restored barkeep on the back, and Durwin was picking himself up off the floor.
He walked into the wreckage, and picked up the small bags that Durwin had dropped in the struggle.
"Best hang on to these until we decide what to do with them." he intoned, handing them back to Durwin.

[Duffie]

As Defiant threw the pearl, she felt she had to reach her hand out toward it, suddenly whiting out.


"Du-ffie! Duu-ffie!" A small girl walks around in a forest, cupping her hands near her mouth to enhance her voice, calling for her as she was relaxing on the grassy hill, looking up toward the crown of the trees. She continued to walk around, calling her name, when she suddenly found her. "There you are!"

Duffie looked toward the little girl with puzzlement, then smiling when she noticed who it was. "Hey, Kira. What are you doing out here?"

"Lookin' for you," she replied, putting her hands behind her back and swaying her body delightfully. "Mom's said to come back home, supper's waitin' for you."

Duffie stood up, stretching her arms and then walking toward Kira, mussing her hair. "Ah, sorry you had to come find me, Kira. I just lost track of time."

"Aw, it's alright, Sis. I don't min' comin' out 'ere to find you..." She told her as her sister continued to muss her hair as Kira tried to get away from her hand.

Duffie laughed, "I just don't want anything to happen to you, Kira... Say, what's for supper?"

Kira ducked and dodged Duffie from continuing to mess up her hair before she answered, "Steak! Your favorite."

Duffie smiled brightly, ducking down to pick up Kira onto her shoulders, "Then what are we waiting for!? Let's go eat some supper!" They laughed as Duffie carried her back home as Kira let out her arms to catch the wind.

When they were coming into view of the house, Duffie stopped laughing and slowed down as she noticed large amounts of black smoke arising from their house's direction. She put Kira down, who stopped laughing when she saw that Duffie's expression changed. "Stay here, Kira." Duffie commanded as she went to survey what was happening.

When she came into view of the house, she found that it was in ruins. She looked uneasily as she started to sprint toward the house, reaching out with her hand. "MOM!"

Suddenly, her vision began to fade, turning back into a bland white.

 

[Defiant_Blob]

[ Duffie I immediately thought of DeathNote]

"Right," Durwin said. He put the pack on and it vanished.
"Looks like we're all alright..." Durwin surveyed the room. His eyes fall upon Duffie still unconcious.
"Oh no, Duffie! Duffie! Can you hear me!?" Durwin shook Duffie but there was no responce. He checked her heart rate and breathing.
"Nothing seems to be wrong with her! What are we going to do?"

 

[Duffie]

[ Duffie I immediately thought of DeathNote]

((What a weird coincidence, considering I haven't watched that series yet. xD))

Duffie opened her eyes to see Durwin with a worried look on his face.

"... Is something wrong?" She sat up slowly, rubbing her eyes.

((Bedtime! We shall continue this tomorrow, I guess. ))

Relief washed through Durwin.
"No not really. Except we got to get a move on." He turns back to the rest of the group.
"Well that was quite interesting. Shall we be moving on now?"

Seeing that everyone appeared to be better; "aside from that scorched Enderpearl, that is" thought Darth, he decided to do some thinking.
While Durwin was busy attending to Duffie, and Blob to the barkeep, Darth slowly walked over to the window and looked outside.
He stood there for a while, his head slightly bowed, hardly any movement to show that he was even alive.

Durwin calling to them seemed to reawaken him, for his head snapped back up, and he turned back towards them.
"I suppose that would be the best course of action." he assented.

 

[Duffie]

Duffie stands up, stretching her arms and dusting herself off.

((Legitimately going to bed now. ))

"I believe Terrenus to be a few miles to the south. Balloon said he could hook us up so let get to it." Durwin walks to a broken part of the Tavern and hops down the ground.
"Man we sure did a number on this place... Defiant, I'm not quite sure what to do with the Barkeep, would you mind handling it? He can join us to the next town I guess but I fear it's too dangerous for him to go much further."

 

[Razinao]

The grinding motion of flexing his plated gauntlet ended as he relaxed his open palm, further lowing his head and enshrouding his face completely. He was sitting in the littered remains of the taverns ground floor, in the now bygone vexation of a corner. With a grunt, he would push up off of the undamaged chair and tread out of the rubble. No harm had come to him. Remaining silent as a few curious bystanders overlooked him, he headed out of town.

[Woot woot! Crashin the party six pages in!]

Humming along walking, Refresh finally stops at a town. "Finally, civilization" dropping his bags on the ground. "For such an advertised place, you'd think they'd have a path leading here with shimmering lights. Well, best not stand here and look like an idiot, time to find where that lady said my new house was." He reaches in pocket taking out a crumbled up piece of paper. "Let's see... 52 Shiawasena Street... Ah, here we go!" He walks through the door of the wooden cabin and sets his things down by the bed. "Now time for some sleep." Hearing his stomach growl, he clenches it, "Maybe some food first..."

"'The Brewer's Stand Tavern and Inn'..." Refresh slowly repeats as he reads the sign above the door. "Hmm, not really my style, but I guess I'll go in if they got food..." As he walks through the door, he notices the emptiness of the place. "Where-- where is everyone?" he mumbles to himself while he walks through the main floor. He pokes his head up the stairs "HELLOOOO? ANYONE HEERE?"

As defiant threw the ender pearl I dived behind a table as the white light started to shimmer....

Ouch where am I? I looked around and saw mass destruction all around me with craters everywhere and death....so much death... It was so surreal and uncanny of the spot I woke from before the explosion... Then I saw survivors! Almost about to reach then suddenly I appeared back in the room. With Durwin standing over Duffie as she awoke.

As I led the way out of the tavern along the path to Terrenus I... started seeing things everywhere from the tress and bushes... But I ignored it and we moved on and now we weren't much too far from Terrenus.

 

[Defiant_Blob]

Blob stopped abruptly. "Um, remind me again. Why are we going to Terrenus?"

"Because there are supplies there we can use like weapons and food and such. Plus we also needed a place to go we couldn't have stayed there where Herobrine could have came back again, and this time possibly with the pearl. Besides where else would we go?"Balloon stared at Defiant with a serene yet stern look.
