Err, I'm still learning the terminology, what's pocketing?
"Most often used in conjunction with a class type, e.g. "Pocket Medic" or "Pocket Pyro", the term describes a player who is focusing support to a single other teammate. The term, often used in the context of "Pocketing", references the idea of taking the supporting player, putting them in a pocket, and carrying them around. Pocketing is often used as a negative term in public play because of the Pocket's tendency to ignore other players that may need healing, while it is considered a normal part of competitive play because of the smaller team sizes and the strategies that involve it."

The only reason I would ever use the standard is to be invincible. :3
Advantage over Kritzkreig: Ubercharge renders healing pair invulnerable. Better for sentries than crits, because crits don't work on sentries and you're invulnerable. Also, crits won't do jack if you get flattened by offensive fire anyway.

Advantage over Quickfix: Overhealing.

It would be epic to have a combo of all three healing guns to one that has healing speed invulnerability and crits but it takes a very long time to uber maybe twice as long? Or maybe just having that weapon would be too overpowering if one was on one team?

No, that would be overpowered as hell in the hands of a good(See any medic that doesn't pop an uber when a sniper smg rushes him) medic.

I agree pie, let's say it is an Attack/Defend map and the defending team has the perfect layout for defense. All a Medic would have to do is wait the extremely long time charging other players in the safe zone untill he is charged. Badda bing there is no longer anything the defending team can do to stop the onslaught...and offense wins

I like the choices, but to be honest the Kritzkreig is definitly not my favorite. I'm a bit of a spaz when it comes to playing a Medic. The fact that it is harder to stay alive for you and your partner while using this gun...just not a fan. I'm a fan of the regular Medigun for two reasons. One is I have a strange Medigun that I want to reach the rank of Face-Melting because that would be freaking hilarious. The other is that it is easier to pull off Medic-Medic combos with my Bro Ethical when we want to mess with the other team.

It's so rewarding when your heavy suddenly starts spraying glowing ammo and the entire enemy team falls down one by one though

Hmm. I know one of the guys from the blue team in that first video posted by mmarz11. I play with him normally.

Anyway, when I go medic, I prefer the regular old vanilla medigun. I find that it has more situations where it's effective, but the Kritz definitely has its moments. Unlike some other healing tools... Stupid Quick Fix. I hear a legend that there is a way that the Quick Fix is useful... but who could believe such nonsense? Anyway, gimme a Kritz or an Uber any day, just keep that... that... other thing away from me.

Pocketing with standard mediguns?
Fuck, I see so many QF's pocketing soldiers and demos, it hurts. (sometimes even scouts)

I can easily pull of a constant overheal in highlander matches with a standard medigun, so even for teamhealing, medigun is a lot better because that overcharge helps out with the soldiers that have to rocketjump around the quickly cap points if you're in a 6man or even in a highlander.

Kritzkrieg is mainly used for offensive pushes in last points of CP matches, as your team can wait in the room beside the point and since it's faster to build than a standard uber, you just wait until you can force the medic to pop it, then pop your own kritz after it's done.

I guess your right...

In fact the added challenge does make it more interesting. This is one of the reasons I like TF2 so much. The nine classes make nine distinct styles of play, and then there are weapons for each class that make you change up your usually style of play even more. My favorites and probably the most distinct changes are the Huntsman Sniper and the Deadringer Spy.

Still going to stick to my Strange Medigun.....I really need to make that sucker Face-melting...it just needs to be done. On that note I remember seeing a Face-Melting Jarate before. Imagine that, face melting piss!

OK!....I just remembered a huge problem though. I can't even play the game anymore. Ever since the Mannaverary Update TF2 has started crashing on me quite frequently. I was letting this slide because it was happening to everyone else and I had hoped they were coming up with a solid fix for it.

It has only gotten worse. Ever since my house lost power for a week due to a snow related state of emergency I can't stay in one server for more than five seconds without it crashing to desktop. At this point I have tried everything I can think of to solve the problem and nothing has changed. I sent a bug report to Valve but I have no idea how reliable that is.

Anyone else encounter this problem?...Did you find a way to fix it? I'm open to anything really.

quickfix is for bad medics
Agreed. The only way it's useful is if the medic is talented at juggling his heals, but that can't make up for an invulnerability or a spree of criticals.

I've done something similar. I had another medic pop an uber on a team mate, while I held on to mine, immediately popping it on the same team mate as his ended and he returned to cover. I think that's the closest you'll get other then having 3 medics (2 medis, 1 kritz) and an attacker spreading it out so all four people get invulnerability and the attacker getting criticals... but that just seems like a waste of ubers, really.
