Many good times were had on Zombie, though it was Lava I first visited, back when it was TheOnes! Sorry to see it go, but the time had come. Much appreciation to everyone I've played with and staffed with over the years :)

It's gonna be sad to see it gone, after these years. It was fun, and although I thought I could come back sometimes, I guess it wasn't meant to be. Forever, any ways.

Man, I have some great memories, even if they were on my bother's account. I gonna miss those servers.
Huh... well, too bad.. I had been very attached to Zombie Survival.. I saw this coming, but.. You guys are right. We have to progress into the future..

This news made me sad; I spent considerably more time on the classic servers than the premium servers. Though with the huge decline in activity recently, the removal of these servers is not at all surprising. However, the decline itself was unexpected; I always expected the classic servers to always have quite a bit of players active on it.
I can't believe i'm hearing about this now. I'm so sad because I wasn't there for the final moments of ZS. I wish it was still running the way it did back in 2010. I'm going to miss all the friends I had on it. Hopefully I buy premium and meet new people. Goodbye ZS classic you will always be the first thing I think of when I play Minecraft again.

Hell. I visit the damn website which I haven't done in a while and I'M 16 GODDAMN DAYS LATE. I'll never get a change to play on Zombie again ;_; I had great times on it. It was... 2 oe 3 years ago when I clicked for the server. Played it ever since until leaving and resigning from trusted.
Damn. Blocktopia Classic was nostalgic for me, even though I only found it a year or two ago.
All I know is, I might miss maps like Narrows. And I might miss the fact that I reached Master rank on Lava. But the one thing I'll miss the most is Death Run, because I know that's never coming back.
Poor old Death Run. It was fun while it lasted.

I remember the first time I'd ever joined Blocktopia, in an entire community.
It was back in early 2010 (around there), my good friend at that stage had just introduced me to Minecraft, it only had a free version so I thought - eh, what the heck! - So, I created an account and later that night we played at my place. We searched for servers, finding some pretty horrible servers - some okay ones. I was scrolling down the good ol' Classic scroll list untill I found [TheOnes] Lava Survival.
I decided, awesome! A lava survival server!
I joined, played it for a while and got a little bored as I waited for the round to finish, somehow, I ended up getting banned. (shame
)
So, I reloaded my browser and searched the list (it had no search bar) untill I found [TheOnes] Zombie Survival. I thought, WOW, Zombies!!!
So, I got my mate to join at the same time, and, we stared at awe at how well the map looked. I believe it were Stairs, an old classic. We were amazed as we'd never seen anything like it on any other server. We asked an Operator how to play, and he told us everything about the server. (I can't remember who though) He taught me about the old Lava and Water clock, and just looked "How could this get any better!". My friend and I ended up playing all night, seeing who could survive - and really - outsmarting the zombies! We'd enjoyed it from the first second, we continued playing and playing, as REP was introduced, we became competing against each other and finding out the secrets too all the maps.
At one stage, I was around the 1st player for the highest amount of REP, and I began improving my grammar, spelling and began rooting for trusted. I began creating the best experience on a game of my life, I began playing daily, for hours too.
From there, I began indulging with one of the best communities I've ever seen.
R.I.P - Classic, I'll always miss the amazing time I've spent the past years playing, and, with all the friends I've made.

I think community is more integrated now, then it was before shutdown of classic.
All servers are in one lobby floating over void now.
I think, that replies here will stop after 6 monarchs - one year as people may return from time to time and notice this thread.

Goodbye, classic; hello, future! I miss the classic servers as much as the rest of you, but we've helped them last three years! Now that they're gone, we can collectively decide the path of our premium servers. Let's hope we remember the current generation of servers as fondly as the last.
Here's to a brightly pixellated future.
EDIT: Turns out this is my two-year anniversary of joining the community. So that's funny, too.
